Look away now PN.
I think we have a fox living in our garden
That's ok! They won't hurt you!
I had some living under my shed for about three years, when my garden was jungly. Saw cubs and everything.
I just left them alone, didn't put food out or anything ( as that makes them more dependent on humans and hence they become a nuisance).
When I cleared my garden, I only then saw them traversing across it from time to time.
Actually, given that my garden is jungly again, I'm surprised I haven't seen any.
Actually, I did hear one barking in the street about 3am the other morning.(I just lurve spiders!)

Snow again....yawnNot had any yet!
I don't count the very small amount of slush that landed on my car's windscreen last Tuesday night while I was in AmDram, but there was no evidence of it on the ground when I left the building.
And only had two windscreen-scrapey mornings so far.
Probably get a blizzard, now that I've said that!
Just rain at my altitude but I was out with a mate earlier and the highish pass between Keswick and Grasmere was somewhat unpleasant and the road over the top of the Furness Peninsular was slightly more so, due to less traffic using it.
My mate's gone back home via Dalton in Furness, it's a lower road
Still, we had it good in Wasdale yesterday late afternoon - nothing on the lower slopes but Scafell and Scafell Pike thoroughly coated with white stuff, along with blue sky above them and beautiful warm light to give the dead bracken a fantastic orange glow.0 -
We've had snow today. We have a resident fox, well probably 2 as we also have cubs.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. No snow here, although there was a bit of sleet and hail this morning.
I'm struggling with some back/neck trouble at the moment - quite painful - so I've had to put off the cycling to work plan until it's better. I saw the chiropractor on Thursday, which made quite a lot of improvement, and am hoping to be pain free after I see her again next Thursday, but can't be certain. Meanwhile, with the most amazing timing, I have *finally* got round to taking my friend for her 50th birthday treat to a spa - it's booked for tomorrow, even though I was so disorganised about arranging it that she' had time to turn 51 - so I'll get a back massage, which should help, although I'd no idea my back/neck was about to get troublesome when I booked it.
Any other NP watch Call the Midwife?? I like it because my mum was a district midwife on a bicycle - like that but in leafy Oxford rather than in Poplar, and a few years earlier because she moved to Canada to marry my dad in 1956. Just realised a few minutes ago that the new series starts in an hour - usually I pick up on that sort of thing just too late rather than just in time, so feeling pleased about that.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Glad you have a chiropractor!
Did she advise you to use ice packs at all?
Yes, I watch Call the Midwife!
It's very interesting.
Were you born in Canada?
It must be nerve-racking, being midwife to a midwife who is giving birth!(I just lurve spiders!)

No ice packs. Heat packs are sometimes beneficial, plus shoulder rolls and neck stretches from side to side.
My oldest brother was born in Canada, but my other two brothers and I were all born here.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? My laptop has finally died. It did well as it was really quite ancient but I am missing it, luckily Joe gave me his old IPad before he left (with the idea I might do FaceTime), so I'm not completely cut off.
Screen is far too small to do my usual stuff though. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Is it an iPad mini, then?(I just lurve spiders!)

I know where Sue is coming from on this. I use a full size desktop for any serious work. The ipad is just nowhere near as good for that, but it is much better for other things, eg reading books in bed.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
