Nikks, sorry to hear your news. A friend has just been through it -op, chemo and radio. Not pleasant at all. But you will get through it and you will be fine.
Nosy question (so feel free to ignore) is this in any way related to the previous health scare you had?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Just watched Long Lost Family, I watch it each week, but I'm impatient, so once I get their names I google to see what happened.
And I got an unexpected result. A chap from the show 2 weeks ago was a bit sad (as they mostly are). He had a letter from his mum to his adoptive parents giving him away. She'd advertised in the local newspaper for a couple to adopt her unborn baby. She'd done that because the father/her "love of her life" had been killed in a car accident.
So he'd spent his life trying to find his mum. She'd gone on to have a family, but had already died in 2004. He met his half brother - who said they'd always known about him and his mum had never hidden what happened.
He met his half brother ....
And he has just died. At least he got the closure, got to know she'd already died and knew that he wasn't a hidden secret.

Ooh - I can't remember what that was. I should be able to as I've generally been very healthy until now! So I'm going to say no?
I'm going to shut up, think I got you mixed up with someone else. Ignore me!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Lovely to see the old faces back, so sorry you are dealing with difficult situations.
Lir I've been thinking about you for ages. it's great to have you back.
Nikks, so sorry to hear your news, that really sucks. I've been thinking of you lots too. My dad is ill so trying to help him sort out his finances. The hold music I get when I call is Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader and I've been desperately trying to remember if it is you that absolutely detested it.
