Thanks, everyone. As my son said, better a semicolon than a full stop. It's got to be done, and hopefully it will go well.

    See you all soon. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Do you want to know the really scary thing? He's been back at work for 4 days....and has earned more in those 4 days than I earn in 3 weeks!

Oh for my youth and the ability to put in the hours....:rotfl:

It's great that he's been able to go straight back to the same holiday job as before :)

James used to do the same and even now if he needs a few extra pennies, he can just give the boss a call and go in on a weekend. That came in handy when he recently changed jobs and there was a small break of time between finishing one and starting the other, so off he went back down the seafront for a few days.

Mind you, James' idea of a holiday is working the festivals (Download etc), he combines camping (the holiday element), seeing bands (the entertainment) and working (the money element).

Joe is now home for the summer. Goodness knows how they did it, 3 adults, all of his uni stuff and one old and (very) small Nissan Micra.

Suppose it helps that all 3 are master packers but when I look at his stuff (which includes a large home built PC and two monitors), I can't fathom even with all their skills how they did it. Unfortunately I was at work when they arrived back, so I didn't even get to see it.

It won't work for Josh's stuff, his stuff would fill the Micra with more to go in even with no people in it.

You should never underestimate the carrying power of the humble micra. ;)

We ran a mid-90s version for donkeys years and replaced it with a more modern one in the noughties (not quite so good) but it's amazingly capacious for a car that's a doddle to park in the tiny parking spaces we have down here in that there London.

They certainly can hold a lot, her one is also a 90s version and has seen her through university (in London) and now does her daily work commute of over an hour each way.
