Quick one,

My friend on holiday had an Aqua Card and the contactless never worked - has anyone else got an Aqua and the contactless doesn't work abroad (EU country)?

Ta.
Thanks

I've held an Aqua card in the last couple of months and mine wasn't contactless either.

They don't currently support Android/Apple Pay either.

I had a similar issue when abroad. Contactless only worked on my Halifax Clarity Card, not the Aqua Card. Using Chip and Pin worked for both however, so not too much of an issue to do the pin instead of contactless when using the Aqua Card.

Can I use my contactless card overseas?

You can use your aqua card overseas but only as a chip and PIN card as the contactless functionality cannot be used abroad.

thanks this answers why my aqua cards aren't yet contacless

Are all aqua cards now contactless?

Not all of our products will be available with contactless technology. aqua are trialling contactless during 2016 and 2017.

Sounds like some mser's are trailists:cool:

Obviously, simply a policy of theirs - the sub-prime issuers seemed slower with contactless.

Understood - does Vanquis and Capital One not provide Contactless abroad ?

Let me see what I can find.

Seems a strange omissions especially in maybe just the EU and on a card that is marketed as a travel card.

I don't really see the difference between contactless working here and abroad or just here.
    Thanks
