Threats from china after complaint

With all due respect, British betters are hardly better. I am British but currently working in China on contract as an engineer. I once thought like you did -but am now seeing things differently.
I have had my possessions from a UK based middleman courier, Parcelmonkey undelivered, returned back to the UK (allegedly) but not returned back to the sender address 4 months and counting. This is a BRITISH company (in a developed country) that has a bad online reputation, but still manages to continue trading.
China is a developing country. The UK is not - therefore higher expectations should be expected.
I didn't say British companys are better. If the situation was reversed ie a Chinese company ripped off by a British company my advice would be identical.0 -

Ok, I misunderstood your point.
Word of advice to all, if buying internationally it is best to stick with a reliable retailer - such as Amazon. Do not buy directly if avoidable. This way you have some protection.0 -
Thank you to a couple of you who genuinely tried to help. I will look into the chargeback as that's what we had to do before.
And to everyone else, I don't appreciate being told how stupid I am, I was looking for advice and support not a lecture. I'll know not to bother posting on this forum again if that's what most people are like.
I've been struggling for a long time, we've been through child bereavement, depression, job loss and extreme money worries. This is why we started our own business but have zero funds to buy stuff like this. So we look for the cheapest option! I actually did do a lot of research but maybe I'm just not cut out for this. Excuse me for not wanting to live a life on benefits. 👍🏼0 -

Apologies if anything I said caused you offense - it was not intended.
Please do not hesitate to seek support online if need be - although many can be unhelpful (including myself) there is sometimes that one person who can be a life saver...0 -
If you are setting up a business, and doing so from a background of very little experience, don't use the internet to commit purchases unless with well known, reputable sellers. In reality, when setting up a business, you want to establish relationships that you can rely upon later, which can help you negotiate better prices on items that you are buying. Once you are comfortable with what you are doing, then you can look to source items directly online - but it is a virtual minefield out there and you need to have the knowledge as to how to navigate it. It sounds as if both yourself and your husband are not at that point yet, so use the internet for research, then go and visit suppliers - and don't always be fooled by what can be a false economy of buying the absolute cheapest. The old adage "you get what you pay for" is so often true.0

The truth often hurts and you are going to need thicker skin to survive in the business world.
You came here looking for advice on your issue - which you got.
People here dont know your personal circumstances and that you require handling with kid gloves.
I dont see that anyone was particularly harsh to you, only pointing out facts0 -
Many chamber of trades for example offer business training courses for new businesses for free. You may wish to look into these, both of you.0

Indeed. I've just re-read the thread and don't see anything particularly harsh or any real criticism.
Ok the advice doesn't come with a helping of tea and sympathy but it is correct.0 -

And according to the T&C's on their french site, you are contracting with the LTD company registered at the address you mentioned.
OP, how did you pay for the items? If you paid by debit card, try a chargeback for goods not as described. If you paid by credit card, you may still be able to attempt a section 75 claim (despite being called the consumer credit act, individual is defined as including sole traders, small partnerships & unincorporated businesses).0
