I had a similar option recently on a Jet2 flight. 'Randomly' allocated seats apart and then offered the chance to buy/change seats.

Unsurprisingly there were a few seats together available.

    Just leaves a sour taste
Just consider it part of the game. I'm on a Ryanair flight soon, I don't care where I sit, I'll be happy to swap with anyone who wants to swap.
  • I'm on a Ryanair flight soon too with a few other guys, don't mind sitting apart.

I just had a notification from the app. 'Reserve your seat now and avoid the middle seat' :D

I used to check in asap to sit together. Now I think I'll leave it till the last minute!
