It's hardly the same thing. "what's the point of the prime minister" is a rather flippant and very aggressive question. Someone not being able to answer a sensible question about their own policy is a different matter. I think Boris is a twit, but Abbott is now unfit for any office.

Kinger...he was asked a number of things not just 'what's the point of the PM'. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jun/22/boris-johnson-interview-disaster-diane-abbott

As much as I'd like that to be true, that's nonsense. Older Tories may well be dying off, but lots of people change from Labour to Tory as they get older to counter this, otherwise they'd be no Tory supporters by now. He really must be losing it if he doesn't realise that!

Agreed generally but will younger voters change their mind on Brexit as they get older. I doubt it. The issue of Brexit could result in a change to the previous pattern.

Some other scenario I have not described.

Of course they'll change their minds once they see and realise how much better off we all are..

There are a new bunch of pensioners every year too......

But will they turn into Tory voters just because they draw a pension? Likely a lot of current pensioners are drawing pensions that people under 40 can only dream of - generous final salary pensions where they still pay income tax.

Interestingly seen a lot of comments in the last week from people saying they'd previously liked Corbyn but have been very turned off by his constant politicisation of terrorism/disasters in the last few weeks.

We are all now beginning to see and hear the real Jeremy Corbyn. If he was as warm and cuddly as the media likes to portray him. He would have had a more successful political career well before now.

Problems keep on coming for the tories:-

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/jun/22/conservative-party-call-centre-may-have-broken-election-law

Evidence obtained by Channel 4 News suggests that on the day of the election, staff called voters in 10 marginal seats, including Bridgend, Gower, Clwyd South and Wrexham.

According to the Representation of the People Act, it is illegal to employ someone “for payment or promise of payment as a canvasser for the purpose of promoting or procuring a candidate’s election”.

So the media are now saying Jeremy is warm and cuddly. That's not what I've been reading in the Sun, Mail, Telegraph, Express for the last couple of years!
....and do politicians have to come across and warm and cuddly to have a successful career? Besides by any measure he has had a very successful career. He is loved in Islington; he has definitely made a splash in this country and has a lifetime of campaigning behind him for the interests of the disadvantaged....what's not to like?

'Wealth distribution at the point of a gun'......absolute nonsense like most of your predictions over the last few months. I'm suprised you can post ...I thought you were still eating humble pie!
