    <grin> I hope it's a very early test-run...

Fun watching it tie itself in knots, though.

I wish I had come here ,instead of going to my solicitors.

Here is one more for you.Maybe you should offer independent consultation on how to present a case. You done a good job .What would have been your decision as a judge , and where do you believe we went wrong? You have seen the damage and decisions in hindsight.

My Second accident in 10 years.I was stopped on the main road.

This april another car reversed from their driveway ,and hit the same spot on my car .Their insurance paid out i.e repaired my car.

    One more thing

The defendant was a nearby neighbour and a friend's spouse.

The judge's decision for reasoning was

    a) I collided with the stationery car's mirror
b)There was no damage to defendant's car and only my car mirror was damaged. There was no other contact .There was no damage to my car in the car accident (implication).

This is what solicitors tell you , the barristers and solicitors don't tell you why ,why he actually decided .

Was it an A4? Did you clip it? Was it a folder?

BTW The judge was given these same damage images that you have all seen.He was suffering from selective attention and blinded to the evidence . Selective attention requires that stimuli are filtered so that attention is directed.

There is a video on youtube called selective attention test , showing an example of selective attention. There are cognitive biases in judges minds , they do make mistakes.

If the single judge had been drinking Guinness all night , or he did not sleep ,was suffering from some illness or unwell , we are screwed.

This LEI is a farce .Little information is dangerous , the solicitors on peanuts , are trying to present the least amount of information , in the least amount of court time , least skills and expenses ,in order to save costs.

Judges are trained to be impartial, consistent and rational, and make deliberate decisions based on the case in front of them? a new study in PNAS, which shows that judges are subject to the same whims and lapses in judgment as the rest of us.

I was reading an article Justice is served, but more so after lunch: how food-breaks sway the decisions of judges and Why Juries Will Be Replaced by Computers

There are too many information processing flaws in the human mind , to process information in court cases effectively. The human mind has at least 20 biases , that come into decision making.

Judging cases is a highly energy consuming task , leaving judges with mental fatigue equivalent to pilot fatigue.

Don't ever expect a fair case hearing , that is why it is a lottery ticket!

    I had my say HYS

but I thought I would leave my experiences about LEI , and what I think of the whole legal system.

I am past this and won't bother going to court again.
