Wow, that was 1000% harder to get £100 than get £50 out of santander, but got there in the end.
....and you haven't got the £100 yet . Still, it's a very good hourly rate.

If you have decided to get a debit card, you can bypass the excruciatingly long withdrawal transfer times, as well as any charges the receiving UK bank may levy(*), by simply withdrawing cash at an ATM. Then use the cash or deposit it into a UK account of yours. The Fineco card has a nice daily/monthly limit up to £5,000.

    * Santander, and I believe Nationwide, are not charging for receiving money from Fineco. Other UK banks may do - Barclays apparently have charged as much as £6.

Be aware (I wasn't) that if you lose your debit card (or have it stolen) they charge £9.95 for a replacement....not impressed with that !

If you initially went for the Euro debit card as you thought it the most useful, what with great FX rates, a deal pops up in the banking section for another debit card for price of delivery and no fee for 3 years. I checked and you can simply cancel with no fee after 3 years, but you have to remember unfortunately or set a reminder

I recently opened an account with Fineco. I didn't opt to get a debit card so i believe they will send a security number instead.
Approx how long for the 'security number' to arrive?
    thanks

How can I transfer money out of fineco account to an account in a regular UK bank? Is there any way to do it free? And do they do a credit check when you apply? Thanks!

People have reported no credit check.

You can transfer money elecronically from Fineco to a UK bank account but be aware some banks charge for receiving it. Fineco won't charge for GBP to GBP transfers. Santander and Nationwide seems to be doing it for free, Barclays charge lots. Transfers take a few working days to arrive.

If you have the Fineco GBP debit card, which appears to cost £2.95 delivery charge, you can withdraw up to £5k per day, with a monthly total cap at £5K, and deposit the cash into your UK bank account. Again, Fineco won't charge for ATM withdrawals but choose an ATM that doesn't charge for cash withdrawals.

Thanks for that. I have a nationwide account, so that shouldn't be a problem. Can I open an account with no debit card at all?

Yes, but you need a 'security code' to transfer money out of Fineco and i believe this is sent by post.
