Brexit, The Economy and House Prices (Part 2)

I don't think he mismanaged immigration. He was advised about the pension timebomb, it was his way of trying to change the age profile of the population with what he considered easily integrated younger people.
Any fool knows that you bolster your infrastructure and resources *before* you invite large numbers of newcomers (from wherever they come).
It is very clear that parts of the country have struggled to cope with the level of change.
I call that mismanagement. The pension approach is at best speculative, because there is absolutely no guarantee these people would stay.0 -

However, TB has no political influence whatsoever - zilch, nada, zip, nil, nought....
Juncker also tried to stop the UK from having discussions with other EU members and then went ahead and met Sturgeon, Corbyn and Jones (or maybe it was Barmier). Hypocrite.0 -

And any fool knows that you bolster it *after* if it wasn't done before!
The newcomers are here, they have been coming here for what 20 years and still looking to bolster it!EU expat working in London0 -

Plenty of it on Labour's watch, ergo, Tony Blair was mismanaging things.
Hamish says immigrant net contribution was £20bn.
So, tell me, where are the billions of investment in East of England or North East?
People just did not see the returns so 4 million of them voted UKIP. I suppose plenty of Londoners saw an opportunity to pretend their shed was habitable.
The politicians had an opportunity, and they f**ked it up. Not my problem. If the vote went my way by happy coincidence, I'll take it.0 -
Via Petrolprices:British Government to retain EU car safety laws
A letter published last year from the European Commission highlighted 19 safety technologies that it is considering making mandatory on all cars.
While Britain is all set to leave the EU, is it right to support any resulting measures to ensure that the UK’s safety standards continue to improve
Good news for suppliers and manufacturers, but another 'nothing will change' in leaving the EU.💙💛 💔0 -

Way to go team Brexit. Will Westminster replace the funding?
Are we asking under the current Tory government, or under the Labour government that will ultimately succeed it in the near future?
For the first, likely not. For the second, likely.
I did vote (but not for the above parties) and feel that whoever is in charge it's another killer blow to ensuring those most vulnerable get the support needed.💙💛 💔0 -

In future Parliament will decide how even more of UK taxpayers money gets recirculated and most importantly, will be democratically responsible for doing so.
Way to go!0 -

Will that include ludicrously bright front daytime LEDs that make it impossible to discern the cars indicators?
On my car at least I believe they dim significantly when the indicators come on. I do accept that it's difficult sometimes to see which of the two are on though, however if unsure with many cars your best bet is to look at the mirror.
My old car had the option to turn the DRLs off in the system settings, the new one (which isn't actually that new now) doesn't leading me to believe there was a change in the law between the 2 being built.💙💛 💔0 -
I see Bliar still has hopes of achieving his ambition of being crowned his most exalted highness, emperor of all Europe in a toga, to whom all shall bow…
Horrible, arrogant traitor… why doesn't he just get out of our country and take his ambitions elsewhere? Ugh – I actually feel sick every time I have the unfortunate experience of seeing his increasingly satanic visage appearing anywhere in the media.0
