Remain in all but name as brexiters like to say, youd be happy to defend that based on it being compatible with the question on the referendum paper? You wouldnt want a referendum to see if the elecorate are happy with the outcome?
And here is where the hypocrisy of brexiters shows itself, happy with democracy as long as it serves their own purposes.
yes, i would have accepted that. because if we don't like it we can vote them out at the next general election.
which we can do with the tories if we don't like their brexit.
it might happen it might not. thats the beauty of voting.0 -
Rusty_Shackleton wrote: »And more lies from the leave side... Lots of brexiters went on tv saying theybwerent talking about leaving the single market. Theres copies of the footage on youtube. Somebody linked to a video of daniel hannan saying it, today on this very thread!
When cameron and osborne said they'd be negative economic consequences of brexit its project fear, but when they said we'd leave the SM they were trustworthy in your eyes? Thats your position? Seriously?
Negative economic consequences? You mean an immediate and profound shock, don't you? How's the recession working out for you, Rusty?0 -

In 2022 it'll be too late to decide.
Also, the public did try to vote May out, and she lied when she said if she lost 5 seats she'd go.
Just a tip for you: She lost a few more than that, she has no majority and she has no mandate. Happy now?💙💛 💔0 -

Right, so we vote labour out in 2022 and then... We leave the SM, CU, CJEU jurisdiction etc what then? What about in 2027, lab get back in and take us back in again? You do see the absurdity dont you?0 -

They're all in the SM, all accept FoM. I think you forgot that
What utter rubbish, no where on that clip does it say we will remain MEMBERS of the single market or that we want the exact same deal as Norway or Switzerland.
By the way the person that produced that clip was ripped to pieces by Andrew Neil because it was utter rubbish:rotfl::rotfl:"I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like his passengers."0 -

yes, it's absolutely absurd.almost as absurd as to keep on having referenda until we get the result you want.
we voted leave. we might be right, we might be wrong, but we voted.
