Whether you and many other voters in the UK believe the 4 core principles are divisible is irrelevant because you and these many other UK voters will not belong to the club by March 2019.

It's not a club. The EC is at heart overtly political.

7% of Remain supporters want this, 31% of Leavers want that... is all completely irrelevant. There was a referendum, it was a narrow Leave win. The Tories then went to the polls for a better mandate and came out without a government.

Now the UK has a government partly ruled by a gang of misogynistic Ulster paramilitaries with a hatred for family planning and an earnest belief in the End Times.

And that's all the polls you are getting. The only plebiscite that will be happening now is what the EU 27 decide to do about the UK 1.

At some point the realities of this situation will begin to dawn on even the most myopic brexiteer.

Just to illustrate. This is what 27 looks like:

It doesn't matter whether you (or UK voters) call it a club, an union, a racket or whatever other fancy names you come up with, the bottom line is the same though, by March 2019, the UK will have ZERO influence on the matter.

What the UK thinks, believes, etc is completely irrelevant to other EU member states.
(like what the UK may think or believe of policies of the United States are completely irrelevant to Americans).

No, the time is much better spent trying to prevent it happening in the first place.

I was willing to accept the result as long as it was done sensibly. As a direct result of both government policy and the attitude of some Leave voters I am no longer willing to accept the result. I now view anything less than remaining in the EU as unacceptable.

If the UK does leave the EU, I will be campaigning to re-join with no rebates and the only opt out being Article 50. That means Schengen and the Euro, neither of which I was particularly happy with a year ago but now believe the UK should be a member of as it's only fair to our neighbouring countries.

You find damage to the UK that will take generations to repair funny.

    Why?

British pensioners rushing to settle in EU countries ahead of Brexit

    Nice.
First they screw the country's future by voting for brexit, then they're off to the continent to avoid the consequences.

To be fair I doubt the ones trying to desert the UK now also voted for Brexit. As people with an interest in the world outside their back garden they've found been stiffed over by the Brexiteers in the same way as everybody else.

Seen some discussion in previous pages of THAT Buzzfeed (reported) research... Thought it sounded too good to be true (for the brexiteers):

Independent - Brexit report: Do 29 per cent of Remainers really want to deport EU citizens? And does 70 per cent of UK back hard Brexit?

Highlights include no don't know/none of the above options (very shoddy in qualitative research), effectively tricking people into picking soft/hard/no deal by isolating away from the numerous repercussions of those choices that the researched didn't feel important to list, and:
But a score of 29 per cent still sounds significant…

Actually, it demonstrates how unpopular the idea is, both among Remainers and Leavers.

The “neutral” score on the favourability index is 50, meaning anything below that is viewed negatively.

It is true that the score could technically have been zero, implying that whenever the option was presented to respondents as part of a package they rejected the entire package every single time.

But the “all must leave” was easily the lowest rated item of all the options, generating a lower score even than other extreme options such as “no control over immigration” among Leavers (which got a score of 34 per cent).
