Hi,

BUYER BEWARE

Wish that I had read reviews before ordering from NewChic UK. The items I purchased are very poor quality Chinese tat. I am trying to return for a refund under the 14 day distance selling regulations, but to date they have refused to provided a return address.

Are you sure its a UK company? The only New Chic I can find operates under Chinese law and is unlikely to offer much in the way of consumer protection.

ALPHABETRADE CO., LIMITED
which is a
Nature of business (SIC)
99999 Dormant Company -

so non trading and the address is just an address used for a ltd companies registered address

There are so many of these scam sites but it is usually easy to tell.

Sorry for your loss (i expect it will be a loss) Missile but I wouldnt expect a poster of 10 years plus to have been caught out by one of these sites, more often than not it is first time posters on here that get caught

Yes plenty about and it is comical in the way these scammers try and get hosting accounts

try 1) order comes in as normal, but fails the security checks
try 2) a few hrs later and order comes in with similar name and address, but again fails the security checks
try 3) you get a pre sales support ticket or live chat with someone asking they would like to host with you (bad english) and if you can provide ( and then they quote specs they would like, which are identical to a listed plan on my website), so explain this and its always' we try but cant place order as no order link. I know order link does show as what they are after is you as a host to set the hosting up for them, so they avoid the security checks. when i say site and order system is working 100% and the only way to place an order, i never hear from them again.

I keep telling my wife...NEVER click on an ad that appears on facebook, many of them take you to one of these type of sites

Well, I also clicked on an ad in FB. Bought an item which arrived in just over a week and was exactly as I ordered. Wasnt a lot of money, less than a tenner. Not saying they are total bonafide but cant say they are scam either

Just a quick line to say that I received a faulty item from this company yesterday, I complained through their customer services contact on the order page, sending photographs of the fault and proof of delivery and they have refunded the amount today.
