Boiler problem

I have an Ideal Minimiser SE50 giving an ignition problem, but this is a general query.
I understand that if the condensate pipe gets blocked (typically by freezing) a boiler trips out. But I cannot see any sensor which detects this condition, either in the manual or on the boiler itself. Can anybody please advise?

This appears to be a standard mains gas boiler.
