Youngest dd has just phoned sounding very despondent to say she has just had a driving test. I had just started to sympathise when she broke in to sing happily "I passed!" :j:j:j

I am so pleased for her as she is actually a good driver but got so nervous on a test. Hoping that now she can drive she will get a much better job as well.

    Hugs to all

    Evening all.

Lots of good news here and dog chat, fair cheered me up.

My drive down was slow and rainy. Being a weekday there was loads of wagons on the road which just makes things so much slower. I detoured off at Arrochar again to avoid the traffic queues past Loch Lomond.

A couple of my student's really annoyed me this morning by not turning up for the final session. They submitted their work by email but there are revisions to make if they want to pass. Despite my three emails to each yesterday saying 'turn up to make the revisions' they haven't bothered. Now they will fail the entire course and don't think they realise it. After all all this time they just fail! Talk about 'horse and water'.

    I'm calm now. :rotfl:

Hugs to the poorlies, hope you all are better soon.

elona well done to your DD for passing her test, nerve racking time I passed in 1961 and it was frightening enough then.My eldest brother had been teaching me since I was about 13 off road, and once I had got through it I said I would never want to do it again :):):) no theory test back then though.

I had a smashing half hour facetime call with my DGS tonight in New York, he is looking well and enjoying his new life out there with his wife, she is doing some volunteering at a dogs rescue centre at the moment, and finding her feet and way around the city by dog walking :):):)

DGS Henry said his Maths exam went well and wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be :)He has business studies and biology tomorrow. Only one more week of exams then he has some time at home until September ,although he has a few days in July when he has to go in for his induction days for 6th form.

Sitting here watching and listening to all the folk spouting their different views about the election, I will be glad when we have a clear idea of who has won either way. I may go to bed shortly ,but take my lap-top with me to check in now and again to see how its going

    Take care chums
