Do I have to stop at a pedestrian crossing for a cyclist?

    No I don't whinge at cyclists or tell them to use cycle paths. I also only overtake them if there is enough room for a wide pass. I'm certainly no MGIF.

    Also I don't park on pavements or over dropped kerbs.

    But,but you must park on pavements. I have seen plenty of cars parking on pavements....

    Then perhaps it's time for you to read the Highway Code again:wink:

    Rule 195: "As you approach a zebra crossing
    • look out for pedestrians waiting to cross and be ready to slow down or stop to let them cross
    • you MUST give way when a pedestrian has moved onto a crossing"

    Ah yes, there's that approach word, just in the wrong part of my mind.
    Gotta say, I don't see many pedestrians (myself included) WAIT to cross. I walk out in front of plenty of cars (whilst watching the driver/planning an escape route!).

    I was taught as a child to put one foot on the crossing and wait for the traffic to stop.
