Good morning,
A very quick entry before work.
Had £3 approved from a couple of PA surveys.
Still waiting for the cash out to process though. Hoping that will happen later today :undecided
Need to update my list later. Going to try a PAD. In fact I hope I can find a free car park space to put the money saved onto one of my debts.
Got my Next statement through. Was great to see I'd paid off £190 last month, a stark contrast to previous monthly payments in the region of £50!!! I reckon by mid Sept I'll have paid it off completely, if not earlier. I've seen some wellies I want to get DD from NEXT and guess what, I intend to buy them outright! !!!
Anyway must be off

My PA has cleared through Circle :j. Tomorrow I'm gonna work through a few budgets and try and PAD some.
It's a week until pay day so I'm just itching to pay more off. Getting impatient. Keep re reading my diary to remind me how far I've come.

Morning,
Off work for rest of the week to spend time with my kids over the summer. The wonderful hot summer :exclamati :rotfl: DS has asked to go to a field for a run around. Can't argue with his cheap request. That'll probably be tomorrow though as have a few things to do today.
Need to get cracking with the bedroom so we can move back in. We've agreed we need a new bed frame so when the insurance pays out we'll get a new bed. At that point we'll get the rest of the decorating done.
Also need to go to the allotment as didn't manage to at the weekend.
Finally got round to arrangeing a smart meter fitting for the 1st of Sept. This will be an eye opener. I know we use Alot of electricity. It'll be the drier in the main. I have previously dried clothes in the house on the radiator etc but we've had damp issues in the past and it just added to the problem.
Right , be back later

Had another PA survey approved. Almost half way to another payout.
Got an email from Amazon with a £5 evoucher for completing a survery. I only had to pick which promotional image I liked most for an upcoming prime show.
Another trip to the allotment. The soil is pretty good quality so should be able to get planting soon. Definitely want to grow garlic, likely to also grow onions and sweet potatoes

Morning
nothing much to report...as usual!
I discovered the competition board yesterday and thought I'd give it a go doing competitions. I entered what feels like loads but I'm not it's no way in the same league as other compers. Set up a specific email account for the competitions so i can keep an eye on what I've entered but more importantly so I can see more easily if I've won! Here's hoping.
Had some success yesterday with PA approving some of my surveys taking me over the £20 cashout mark. However think it was a little too late for the Friday circle payout so I'm waiting to cash out on Monday and hopefully the £9 I've got pending will drop in there too.
Found a good site to get vegetable seeds for my allotment. It tells you clearly when you can plant them...helps a novice like me! So I'll probably be planting cabbage, carrots, sprouts etc. Bonus is they're really a reasonable price and available through TCB
Got my pay slip through email so I know what I'll get on Tuesday. £200 extra from overtime and expenses. A little annoyed as £20 down on expenses so I'll need to chase that up. Hoping it's a typing error from admin.
Even so it'll allow me to pay off house insurance in one hit. Don't worry I'll have my annual bill pot for next year...promise.
Had a very vivid dream last night. It started with me complaining about the roads around my house having payment meters put up! I went to my parents to have a moan and my Grandad was there. He passed away 14 years ago. But it seemed so real. It was clear that we all knew he was dead but he had come to visit. I gave him the hardest hug and took a deep breath of his smell. He always smelled of cherry tobacco from his pipe. He never spoke. Every time someone hugged him he'd shrink in size. Oh wow it was an intense dream, I woke with tears in my eyes. I miss him so much.
I'm not sure what that dream means but I'm happy I had a visit from my Grandad.

Morning,
Oh I hate these days before payday. I'm eager and impatient to get things paid.
I realised this morning that I haven't ever really set myself goals.
Did some calculations. DFD remains the same (June 2020) despite July's set backs...that's a positive.
I'd love the DFD to be Dec 2019. Seems an ambitious goal. That would be a whole 6 months off the current date.
Short term I'd like to get below 30k by the end of this year. That would mean we'd have to pay 15k in 2018 and the same in 2019 to achieve my main goal.
Or from this month until Dec 2019 we would need to pay off £1280ish a month. This is roughly £200 more than we currently pay off a month .
:undecided
Mmmm, well lets see how we do shall we!?
Signed up to Opinion Outpost to see if this is any good.
Up to 2600 points on Yougov. This is a slow one.
A week tomorrow we go on our Staycation. Can't wait. I don't care if it rains throughout. We just need a break. Daddy_bear in particular. Although he's already stressing out about the work he'll be coming back to!! They're so short staffed. He is supposed to be getting a small pay rise soon but it's unclear how much. It'll be no more than 3% but likely to be in the region of 1-2%.
He's working at least 1 hour overtime everyday, sometimes 2 when he works through lunch. From September he said he'll likely be working some Saturday mornings. I'd like to say this is because of the desire to be debt free (it is a little) but it's actually to deal with the work load. I hope he doesn't burn out.
Anyway best be off and enjoy this rare sunny day

Just read through your diary so far and I'd like to say well done for realising you have a problem and managing to get OH on board. I know exactly what its like to have a OH who spends without thinking about it. Mine used to be the same and at one time he wouldnt lower himself to use money off coupons in a supermarket or even venture in lidl or aldi.
Now I cant keep him out the budget stores and he moans if we havent got any moc to use. :rotfl:
Your dream about your grandad brought tears to my eyes.
Anyway good luck on your journey and I will keep popping by to see your progress.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -

Thanks for popping by.
It's taken a long time to get to this point with DH. I know he'll slip up more than I will. I accept this already. I'm already working through those future mistakes :rotfl:
But seriously I think a full on strict debt busting regime would break DH. He will need a little spending money every now and then...but no longer on credit! To be fair he's working so much OT at the moment that in theory that is his extra money.
Good to know you'll keep popping by. Hopefully it will be to witness my amazing debt busting skills!

Should get my PA cashout tomorrow. £26. This will be my half of this months annual bill account contribution. Hoping to do my half solely on PA and ebay sales.
Bye for now

Why I get excited I don't know, it only ever pays off debts!
Anyway, I was going through my accounts last night and discovered that for some reason I'd recorded the incorrect figure down for my Santander loan. As such my £155.45 payment today didn't take that amount off as I'd under estimated the amount owed. It is now corrected. Annoyed at myself for that.
Anyways must shoot. Will likely update later
