    Congratulations in advance Felicity.

My DD was born 2 days after her due date but things did start to happen on my due date.

I never got to the active labour stage as DD was in distress right from the start so I had an emergency c-section at 1cm.

My first one was late - but only by 2 days.

Number two was 4 days early.

    Good luck!

    Interesting poll.

BTW I was my mum's first born and I was born on my due date. My sister was 2 weeks early.
  • My first was three weeks early!!

There was me thinking I had a good 4-5 weeks to go and BAM, I sneezed and my waters broke everywhere.

There was a poll done on the very same thing not so long ago, so for some more stats check the results of that one HERE

My eldest was born pretty much in the middle of the half a dozen due dates I was given  so on time 'ish' and weighed 7lb 7oz. With my youngest, I had a 'show' at 29 weeks, my waters broke at 30 weeks, and she was born at 32 weeks weighing 4lb 2oz

  • My little lad was born at 37w+1, but weight a healthy 7lb1oz, just glad he didn't go to term, goodness know he might have been a 9-10lber. Waters broke at 1.30pm, contractions started being painful by 2.15pm, in hospital by 3.15pm, fully dilated and pushing at 5pm, he was out by 6pm.

This next one is going to be a homebirth as i've been told it could be even quicker than 4.5hours. Providing I get to 37 weeks of course. Best laid plans and all that......

Good luck with your impending birth, get all the sleep you can, you'll be wishing for it afterwards.
  • ds arrived the day after his due date. He was due on the friday. Went into labour at 3am on the saturday. He was born at 7.53pm on the saturday with gas and air.

    He's nearly 9 now!!!

    xx

Mines a confusing one... he MAY have been late, but no one is sure... I didnt find out I was having him til i was 7 months gone, so when he was actually due was anyones guess!!! Anyhoo, he MAY have been a week or so late, but I had pre eclampsia anyway, and they had to get him out there and then!

wheres the option in the poll for:
'I dunno, Im a right mess up' ????

If they hadn't induced me, I'd still be pregnant now. Daughter is 20!!!!!

Seriously, I was 2 weeks over when they said come in tomorrow & we will induce you, I went in, they induced me the following day. 2 weeks & 2 days!!!

My DS was 10 days early, 51bs 11oz. I predicted every thing!!!! The night before I had a beer, a curry and s£x!!!!! Also was drinking rasberry leaf tea!! :j  :j
Sunday 23rd September 2007 I came to my senses and discovered fresh air!!:j
    :hello: ELLO! :hello:
  • Both mine were born on their guesstimated dates - no scans in those far off days. First one was born on exact date, second was sort of a month late. At my last consultation I was told " This baby is not going to be born on Dec 20 - more like January 20 " - and this was exactly right.
