Can't cancel sky as it's in ex's name 😈

I want to cancel the sky contract I have, it is in my ex husband's name, but that's it. I can change the contract, the payment comes out of my bank, I speak to them about it, but no, they can't cancel it. It's not an option to ask my ex to call them.
Any suggestions as to what can be done with this? I don't want to just stop paying as that's not my style, but it seems like the only way to get rid at the moment. Thanks in advance.

Stop paying. It won't be you they go after if it's not in your name!0

I know, but I didn't want to do that. Thought there might be another way.0

No, I don't feel bad about him at all, I just don't like loose ends lol. Also wondered about if I wanted to subscribe again in the future.0

I know it's generally the person and not the address. But wondered if they would keep my details too as I've been paying it.0

I sincerely hesitate to suggest this, but given what you know of ex, could you not get another person to phone spoofing as them and cancel?
Ordinarily I vehemently do not advocate identity misappropriation, but if communications with ex are that bad, then it may be a One Off kindness.0 -
That would be an option, but I've tried to cancel it a couple of times and have told them that communication has broken down badly with him. So worried about being found out. I thought about contacting the odbusman or trading standards, they're happy to speak to me and take my cash, why not the cancellation.0

Cancel the Direct Debit and when they write, they will address it to your ex husband then just send it back saying Does not live here. Don't feel responsible it's not your contract.0

I work in a call centre and although I may doubt sometimes who I'm talking too, as long as they can complete all of the DPA checks I'll proceed with a cancellation. They will not ever call you a liar regardless of previous casenotes. Just get a male to call for you making sure they have all of the needed information.0
