Last question, how do you get your ribbons to stick? I've made many a nappy cake only to find that come morning the ribbons have become detached (I don't tie bows) I use the supposedly permanent glue dots, but have also tried double sided sellotape. I have a glue gun but it seems such a messy task to use that. lately I've been sewing the ribbons up at the back with a couple of stiches but want some quicker solution.
Hi Brit Chick, I just use some double sided tape and then overlap the edges (at the back) with some clear packaging tape. It's probably not the neatest of ways, but I haven't had any come undone (or that I know of), and no-one has complained as yet.
A creative mess is better than tidy idleness :D

Have just made up a cake, yet another donation for a raffle prize (I'll never break even at this rate ), mind you, I don't really mind with this one, it's for part of a raffle to raise money for a friend of a friend who currently has a very sick child in hospital.
The photo's are bit on the dark side (was in a rush to get it delivered tonight).
I also forgot today to buy some cream florist to go under the brown ribbon, as well as some brown curling ribbon.
Oh well, it will have to do.

Yipppeeee! I've just sold my 1st 'Grandad's Nappy Duty Tool Belt' :j

so pleased i knew they would go down well

getting ready for this weekend and i don't really want to do it, spoke to one of the girls on saturday and she said that a few years ago she did the same fair and it was rubbish, we have commited now and i don't want to tell dd what was said. The rains never stopped since tuesday , yesterday
hail cats dogs thunder floods etc, made 40 bandana bibs and some dog
bandanas , feel we need more than baby stuff on a stall. Rang the women yesterday to ask what size table we can bring and she said anything within reason, so are taking 3 paste tables using one double (if that makes sense) and one down side, but again nothing giving me much confidence
about how many other stalls are turning up.
Cost is £60 for two days and we are to supply own tables so i would expect a good turn over for that!
all the business cards , postcards and return labels came from vista print
yesterday cost us £6 and look very good in case anybody is wanting to order them. well off to do housework and new cakes look good,
not sure if anybody got to my warehouse but i have been getting ribbon
    20mt of about 1in wide £1.20

This is how i do it [thanks to bellag and few others for tips]
*I take one sock and fold in half long ways and roll from toe to top
*Take the second sock and lay flat
    * place the first rolled sock at the toe and roll up to 3/4 sock and use the remaining 1/4 sock to turn up around the two socks to secure.

    Make any sense:confused:

Id be grateful if someone could help me with vest ice creams . tia
    Thanks for the help kim_possible

Thanks to everyone who pm'd me about buying a nappy cake.

I had no intention of trying to do one myself, but my mum has talked me into it! It won't be anywhere near as nice as any of yours but I suppose it'll have that personal touch...!

Thanks anyway everyone, wish me luck! x
