3Littlepigs, thanks hun. The ribbon I got from the local £1 shop. It was a pack intended for cardmaking!
Popkins, thank you. The gift cards I bought in bulk at 10p each as my attempts at making them were dire to be honest lol. You'll love the bowmaker once you get the hang of it! xx"There are no pockets in a shroud..."0 -

Your cake is beautiful! Well done! Can I ask what you used to cover your bottom layer of nappies? and also what is around the top tier, it really works well!!

Just found these.... so new mummies out there what do you reckon
Mom and baby will enjoy bath time with no more chills or tears! Designed by a mother who knows only too well how stressful bath time can be. The premium, soft touch fabrics snuggle baby and are gentle on a newborn's skin
* Bath Luve' in whimsical Fish design
* Calms and sooths baby as they get used to the water.
* Just submerge bath luve in warm bath water and drape over infant
* It completely covers baby's torso and stays put to keep baby feeling warm and secure

Hmmm just noticed your post. For me personally it is a no no! I have various reason for this and it is just my opinion.
1 -Another money making scheme for new mums to be dragged into where they get charged the earth for something which is only going to be used for a matter of months.
2 - Baby can't be cleaned properly when in one of them
3 - whats the point?
4 - Why wrap them up in cotton wool? so to speak.
Just my opinion but then I am a big believer in making sure they know right and wrong from a very young age. I don't believe in child proofing the house with these socket covers and everything else, nor fireguards. the only safety thing I have used with both of mine was a stair gate. They both knew/know the boundaries and both are fine. If kids are wrapped up in cotton wool too much they can't learn and can't progress properly.

Chatty, hehe its ok. I looked at them and loved them, but then the realisation hit me. lol.
Anyone else got any ideas about how this could be folded to be included in the cake? I think its a STUNNING blanket and would love to use itGreen and White Barmy Army!0 -

I will dig one out later on and take a pic
I can't find the pics I had of them on here. I used to sell them on my other ebay name though but most sales were locally
I don't put a lot in them but put a few different bits in. I started off using plain ones (have a pic of them on here towards the beginning of the post), which were just some I had in, but then found the gingham ones, although only blue, red and pink, couldn't find any lemon so just do a mixture of the 4, but mainly leave the red for normal hampers. Old pics as you can tell cause I didn't have a photo tent back then :rotfl:

Loving this blanket!!! Lovely colours - where did you get it from?
I came across the Pumpkin Patch website a few weeks ago. I bought over £140 of blankets, booties, etc. and got them all for less than £50 in the sale and with discount code. The blankets are lovely but very soft and hard to fold.
Still don't know what to put on top of it though!!!
BB - I think your cake looks fantastic and I would also like to know what you use to cover the nappies. Whatever you use just finishes it off perfectly:D
I saw HUNDREDS of baskets in my local florist suppliers including pink and blue checked ones. I really must spend a few hours in there the next time really having a look around. It is floor to ceiling with things in a freezing cold warehouse:D0
