    Hiya all,

Heres my latist Nappy Cake, i have made it for a close friend so have gone all out on it. Its Packed with goodies! It has a bee theme as she has nick named her bump 'bee'. I've not wrapped it yet as my mum is knitting some yellow & black stripe booties.
I'm also going to make a 'Big Sister' cake for my friends 4year old daughter so she doesnt feel left out :-)

Before i sign myself up to a £40 craft fair i'm tempted to try a local car boot sale, has anyone else done this? was it successful?

    Thanks

Jojo the cake is beautiful! Well done :) only one suggestion which I hope you don't take the wrong way ... could you change the middle layer of ribbon into a black ribbon? then you have a Bee striped cake aswell ;) looks absolutely beautiful though :D

    hi ladies
these are beautiful i have read quite a few pages and have decided to have ago , my daughter and i are doing a craft fair next month and i thought this would work, i need as much info as you can give with what sells max profit
    etc
i decided if they don't sell we have nothing to lose since daughter is having her first child in october and omg i am so not going to be called xxxx
i am making a pact with the child if it calls me by my first name i will take it
    to disneyworld
thanks in advance must get back to the knitting

I think you will just have to try a few things as its hard to say what sells best one day i might sell a lot of sock buds then not sell any in ages. I find all my new ideas are selling like hot cakes but im sure after a few weeks it will all slow down.

I would say just make up a few cakes and just see how it goes its took me a long time to build up to as well as im doing now with my stuff. Sorry not much help am i

Rusty, I noticed in your picture that you roll your nappies as they come. I open mine up to roll them. Does anyone else open them? I saw it on a U.S. site and been doing them that way ever since. (Don't swirl anymore either)

I do it that way in my stork bundle's :D

Candy I use the ones in the green and blue box not the ones in the red box/packs the ones in the red packs are more of a new baby nappy if that makes sense they only come in size 1,2 and 3 :) not sure what colour they are so be careful ;)

I didn't do the tutorial on the thread, I emailed it to Saveapenny as she asked me if I could do a simple to follow tutorial. I should still have it if you want me to email it across :)
Thanks for the advice, that's saved me sending you a text whilst deciding on which box I should choose:D .
No, don't worry about the email, the piccie has helped. I've got 2 bathtime sets to make up (for the same lady!!!) so will have a go at swirling the middle before adding the contents.

Rusty I always un roll the nappies and roll them back up. I have tried it just rolling them as they come but I always revert to the other way as I think they pack together neater.. you do have to make sure the elastic bits are tucked in. but i suppose we all have our preferred method.

Ive just received an email off the lady who purchased my 2 tier pink one yesterday, who purchased it just by seeing a small picture on a leaflet.

    she said

"The nappy cake was absolutely fantastic, the picture doesnt do it any justice, thank you once again"

I am another one that completely unrolls the nappy.

Think I will try Huggies the next time as Pampers size 3 are turquoise and they are more expensive.
