Rjh sorry to hear about your sales but your cakes are lovely. Do you work? Have you tried taking one in? I've found work to be the best starting block and also word of mouth. Once you get one out there it should snowball
Shadsy your cakes are really good and very different and like you say its nice to do something different from the norm. I think its good to each have our own style because thats what keeps them unique.Little Miss Chatterbox

Irlip I must have missed your cakes, they look beautiful, where did you get your duck from? and also your blankets? they work so well and look lovely! Well done you
Shadsy your cakes are lovely ... I agree with Shelley everyones cakes are so different, even when we all use the same clothes/blankets etc yet the finished results are so much different!!
RHJ I am sure sales will start soon ... things are very slow this time of year as people are so skint, this credit crunch certainly doesn't help!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

The pink blanket was Matalan and the yellow Dunelm Mills. The duck and dog are TY's.0 -

I'm having the same problem, they only have a few pink and blue's left but no cream ones.
While I was there, a lady picked up a pink blanket and then threw in some baby toiletries, there's me having a look in her basket thinking 'hmm, wonder if those are for nappy cakes?'
How sad I am getting!A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
Where does everyone get their toys from? I managed to get a few from Ikea but our nearest one is a couple of hours away! I can find everything else cheap enough but not toys. I have avoided putting teddies on top of mine so far as I just can't justify spending £4 or £5 on one!
