Car accident claiming back costs

As I said not worth the hassle this would involve.
I need the money back, but not that badly to have left my children who'd just been in an accident, on the possibility of having made it and yes yes that was my choice I know. if that's the expectation of insurance companies then they can swivel.
What if I ran up a huge taxi bill, then a car hire, to have missed the concert anyway. i doubt I'd have been able to claim all those costs back - as these were my choice too surely.
This thread has answered my question and I will not look any further to reclaim these costs. I bet the driver who drove on regardless of the accident got to her destination to do whatever she had to do fine. End of and thank you all for replying and helping me reach a decision regardless.0 -

At the end of the day, you were the victim of what sounds like a nasty accident that with just a tiny change of circumstances such as a different speed, position of other cars, etc., could have seriously hurt your family, or worse. Some lost tickets isn't a bad outcome in the grand scheme of things.
yes you are totally right there0 -
 That's outrageous. Did the police take any action for her failing to stop?Carobslime wrote: »I bet the driver who drove on regardless of the accident got to her destination to do whatever she had to do fine.0 -

But, again, that's YOUR choice. You could have easily mitigated your loss - £50 car hire instead of £250 tickets, but you CHOSE not to.
I'm not sure why you say you'd have had to leave your children, though...?0
