FBO sorryyouve had to leave your job, hope something much better turns up soon xx
I'm going to take a cup of coffee back upstairs with me and finish off another dress,I'm on a roll :D Just hope the weather is good enough to justify wearing them as theyre all sleeveless shift type dresses- ah well there's always a cardy available!

DGD here for tea,we saw her briefly when she got back from Lanzarote on Monday.I bet she'll want to go to the park with it being nice.I've already cooked some chicken to have with peanut satay sauce,DS2 will have sausages instead.

Here's my woodstash - so proud of it and very MSE too!

And for snoozer and Floss - my beaded curtain all up.

    From the inside:

Looks good, though I still haven't solved the problem of how to get it out of the way of the door when closed. Think I'll have to take it down each night and put it back up each day! Needs more thought but at least it's up there. Now I'm happy with it I'll get another one for the back door too.

Thanks for the advice about it.

Talking about little hound. Seems like her 'dry eye's has spread to the other eye now. It's rubbish getting old.:(
Aww, poor lass. She has my sympathy; I have to use drops every day, some stuff called Systane Balance. I wonder if there's a doggy equivalent available?
Managed to sleep properly for the first time in a week. It's such a weight off my mind. I did the right thing as my licence to practice was at risk. But its scary.

Decisions, decisions. Do I attack the garden? Or the passageway? I think if the weather holds I'll start in the garden. DH is out tonight so I can always do the passageway later.
As long as you know in your heart you've made the right decision, it will work out in the end. Hang on in there.
And I agree do the garden first - if there's an indoor and an outdoor task to do, I do the outdoor one as soon as the weather allows, as good weather may not last. ;)

yes thats exactly the point I am losing it ...maybe I don't mind if its just the last line as long as I dont lose it on the first line
Your OS friends will be thinking of you Nelski. And of course people will understand totally if you falter a little.

NW I have puppy envy! :D What a gorgeous little chap; I love Border Terriers, they are real characters. :o

Caronc I sympathise; I'm rubbish first thing in the morning, too. Just getting bathed and dressed knocks the stuffing out of me completely, even with Mr LW assisting me.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Omg! What a gorgeous puppy!

This is my second post on the forum, so please be kind.

Dh and I are going to have to radically cut back over the next few months and may have to cut back further after that. We are both used to having a fairly frivolous lifestyle (him more than me), so this is going to be hard for us.
I have set a monthly food budget of ££240 which I've no clue whether it's reasonable or not. I've audited our cupboard and fridge/freezer and put things in date order as they are out of date fairly soon, Ive culled the cleaner and done the majority of my beauty treatments myself rather than paying for them this week.
I think dh and I need weekly pocket money (probably in cash?) to stop us buying things we don't really need.

I'm also interested in what you feed your pets mine cat and dogs all currently eat Lily's kitchen which I know is quite expensive but if I'm going to change their food I need to do it slowly so should start thinking about that now (I've a couple of weeks of tins/kibble stockpiled).

I also need to buy 4 bathroom extractor fans if anyone knows where's best to get these ID really appreciate it too!

    Thank you!

    Phew!!
DD1 spent the day here helping my, we've done numerous CS runs, a trip to the boat to hide my stash (of yarn).
People are collecting stuff left right and centre, I still need to vacuum through and clear the table so CHS can sit down when he gets home from work.
We were going to do a tip run tomorrow but my local one is only open from 12:30 -6 and will only take certain items, mainly glass, plastic and stuff I could put in the recycling bin.

Orworse Good luck, we don't have pets so I'm no help, sorry.
    Chin up, Titus out.

Lovely to hear such positive news about your son Judi, perhaps a corner has been turned.
Hope so, until i'm sure i shall still be hiding the family 'silver' though.

Gers that wood stash should see you warm over winter i'd think. Must have took some chopping though. Like the idea of the curtain. Mom had a beaded curtain in what we call the 'glory hole'. brings back memories. Its now what i call 'open plan'.
Aww, poor lass. She has my sympathy; I have to use drops every day, some stuff called Systane Balance. I wonder if there's a doggy equivalent available?

Dont worry LW. She is on eye drops several times a day which do help to keep her eye gunk free. It just means that i will have to start doing two eyes now instead of one. She hates being messed with but always sits nicely when i do her eye. The eye drops must relieve the discomfort. I like to think so anyway.

Orworse, welcome. My two were on Royal Canin until i discovered this site.
    https://www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk/
I found all the dog food listed in the directory was really expensive so i started going to pet shops and taking pictures of the ingredients in the various dog food so i could imput them on the dog food site.
I found aldis dog food compared more favourably than a lot of the more expensive brands. I think the kibble worked out as a rating of 3.5 out of 5 and the tinned (Supermeat - not the other) worked out to 3.7 out of 5. I'll post a picture when tinypic will let me. Looks like Tinypic is just as useless as photobucket was.

Oh that's really interesting Lidl is quite a drive for me, but if I have to go to get their food it'll make sense to do more of our shopping there too. Is that what you are feeding now then?

    Hello all.
It's me again and I'd like to pick your brains please.
I am now officially fed up with feeling yuck with my cough and I am refusing to spend any more money on cough medicine which seems to be doing no good anyway. So I was wondering if anyone had any OS ways to shift it. I have tried a vapour rub steam bath and am now gargling with salt water ( I have not yet resorted to goose grease or a bread / brown paper poultice, but believe me I have toyed with the idea today :rotfl: ) So any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thank you for the lovely comments re the new puppy and I have just received a photo of the DGS and Rafa asleep, nose to nose. ( insert cute smilie here )
Orworse welcome, nice to meet you.:hello:
Judi good news about your son
Gers would that be classed as wood !!!!!! ? :D
Gosh I have missed chatting to you all.

Today has improved immeasurably - DH passed his final exams. I was questioning the decision I made incase he was facing a period of unemployment come November. At least now we haven't got to worry about losing both incomes, and I get some breathing space.

What a little love of a puppy NW, I'd like a border terrier.

A friend told me you are meant to have whisky with hot water and lemon juice, I hate whisky though. I make hot lemon and honey, feels nice as it goes down.

I've gammyfied my knee and it has swollen up a bit and the foot has swollen up too. Perhaps the whisky idea is better than I thought. I'll put my foot on a cushion , bound to work.

O.H making cottage pie. We don't have it normally, DS does not like it but he is away. I need sleep.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
