The irony is that Corbyn is like a man reborn, approaching the election like he has nothing to lose. He can indeed promise all sorts to the electorate. The weight of office is not upon his shoulders.

Indeed he is and has nothing to lose. But equally the weight on May's shoulders is appearing to be too heavy. She has made several bad calls including not turning up yesterday.

Corbyn may be a bad leader, a poor negotiator and all the other things she is accusing him of being so, but she is showing she is not any better.

I still think she will win by a workable majority but why is the trust me message not working?

Corbyn was always going to make some ground with that manifesto. He's sort of offered something to most groups, The young who seem to think he's for them, will probably suffer the most from his free spending though!

May had a workable majority and did not need to call an election. She has done this for political advantage.

A small majority isn't a mandate though. The inherent danger being that Westminster rejects the final agreement. The net result is a hard Brexit. A real mess.

Don't forget that May is pro Europe. This is bound to have an influence on the outcome. Though I am discounting the potential intransigence of the other 38 parties at this juncture.

Did you think that, too? I remember watching and thinking if Cameron and Clegg hadn't been politicians, they'd have been up on stage doing Shakespeare.

Trump is akin to a used car salesmen. Knows how to tug at the emotional strings. Probably accounts for being a poor politician as lacks charisma. Has a goal in mind and is going to get there one way or another.

The only thing May is pro is May. Whilst nominally remain, she was virtually invisible during the referendum campaign, and now she's called a general election she said she wouldn't to strengthen a mandate she claimed she already had.

It's political opportunism of the worst kind, and the whole United Kingdom will suffer for it.

Why is she pro Europe? I didn't see much campaigning before the referendum. More likely she was trying to stay in Camerons good books.
