Anyone else find the interior of BMW cars very ugly?

That looks really nice, sort of like an old country pub feel. Way better than the newer interiors in this thread, which look like new offices full of technology, but totally lacking any character.

Interior of a car is quite important to me.

Design's a subjective thing, if you're a car manufacturer with millions of customers you're not likely to mess with what they like so there'll always be a evolution in their interior and exterior design whilst keeping the "core" character of their design. As a case in point, do you remember the mauling BMW got over the 3rd generation 6 and 7 series when they launched? They attempted something different and it backfired big time.
If you fancy a big SUV type motor with a less "conservative" interior then take a look at Jaguar's F Pace.

They are both certainly extremely ugly from the outside, to the point that I wouldn't bother looking on the inside.

The X5 is just huge and ungainly but the X6 is a really special kind of ugly.

    I can't stand the X5 or X6.
Absolutely pointlessly big and obnoxious, usually driven by someone who is determined to get somewhere yesterday and in the most inconsiderate manner possible.

IMO BMW have had a very consistent feel to their interiors for a very long time, I've had many over the years. My mate has the X50 M and its an amazing bit of kit - I couldn't get over how a diesel sounded almost as good as my mustang when pushed. Obviously costing nearly twice mine at over 70k was a part of that!

Of course, if you don't like the underlying style then there are plenty of other options.

So special, Mercedes copied it in the GLE coupe... and Bentley thought there must be a demand for a Bentayga coupe ?????
I need to think of something new here...

Looking for a bigger car, I went into a BMW showroom to take a look at the X5 and X6 because from the outside I like the look.

    You are dreaming aren't you?

Do you not like your Fiesta anymore?

I'm not overly keen on the interior myself, but its all personal taste. The new 2017 interior with the digital dials posted above doesn't look too bad.

Followed by "Sitting in the car, I was immediately put off by the interior." - as opposed to - "Sitting in the car, I was immediately put off by the ridiculous price", which would be the show stopper for me! :p

Costs are pretty ugly, but then I find Beamer's refinement to be up there with some of the best.

All depends how much disposable you have I suppose
