Anyone else find the interior of BMW cars very ugly?

Looking for a bigger car, I went into a BMW showroom to take a look at the X5 and X6 because from the outside I like the look. Sitting in the car, I was immediately put off by the interior. Similar to other Beemers I've sat in, the interior just looked dated. Take a look at the below, it's something I expect to see in a car from the 90s.

They are both certainly extremely ugly from the outside, to the point that I wouldn't bother looking on the inside.0

I think the OP means it's the overall styling that looks dated, not the equipment, however, it's horse for courses.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

You've opted to chose a photo with a brown interior i guess to try to re-enforce your point? Also thats a 2014 X5.
Heres a 2017 X5 interior, in perhaps a more palatable interior combination
Cream, if thats your thing...
Or black
BMW buyers are typically a conservative bunch so they're not going to want to see the boundaries pushed with the latest design.0 -
It's a simple case of personal taste. Why not post a pic of an interior you do like?Andrew_Ryan_89 wrote: »Looking for a bigger car, I went into a BMW showroom to take a look at the X5 and X6 because from the outside I like the look. The Electric i3 has a much nicer non BMW type interior
It's a very calming interior to be in hopefully the other BMW SUV type vehicles will get more modern

I don't get it.
Personally, I couldn't care less whether the dashboard is modern looking and 'on-trend'. As long as it's not offensive, beige, or missing essential features like cruise and climate control, the rest is immaterial.0
