I am newbie to this forum so please go easy on me:rotfl:
I am planning a holiday to Capri.
What I am after is some money saving tips on flights, car hire, accomodation/hotel, travel money etc.
Any suggestions at all are welcome, including places that must be seen or restaurants that are worth a detour.
TIA

Have you read anything about Capri, it is very expensive, limited accommodation and packed full of daytrippers from the mainland. If you are looking for a moneysaving holiday, this is certainly not the place to go.0 -
Forget about car hire on Capri. A scooter is as much as you will get.
You can hire a car in Naples, but that doesn't mean that you will be able to take it to the island.Driving a hire car on Capri Island is only possible at certain times of the year. As the island is small and mostly pedestrianised, with only one road open to traffic, non-resident cars are not allowed during the island’s peak season.
When do you plan to go and for how long?0 -
Do your research before you book Capri. It is mega expensive, and crowded during the daytime.
Don't think it's like 50's films etc. It isn't.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
Is there a specific reason why you have chosen Capri for a holiday?
Unless you really have to go there then I strongly urge you to think again. It's ok for a day trip if you want to see the place but that's as much as I can say in its favour.
There are much nicer places in the world to visit.0 -
I would take the advice given here with a pinch of salt. There is so much more to Capri than Capri Town.
When in Capri Town, ask for Buzz. "Dov'è Buzz?"0 -
In contrast, tourists getting off the ferry;
The pics in both posts taken in May(with the exception of one, the close up of the sea in September).
Of course if the tourists simply hang around that area and then via the funicular to Capri town, they'll have the impression that it is crowded.
Have they been to Anacapri and beyond?0 -

Hmmmmm.....I will state that you don't know much about Capri.0 -
Tourists head here:
I am here:
Where are the crowds?

Capri; High season, end of June, beginning of July;
Where are the claimed crowds?
This is also why a car is useless in this part of the island.
They have special vehicles for rubbish collection etc;
