Because you're not in the playground anymore.
You be had a 22K insurance payout and you're quibblng over a drill because you and the insurance rep are having a bit of a willy waving contest?
Seriously, just let it go. Life is way too short.
No, he has got it in his head because I am doing a degree in electronics, that I was doing electrical work and I wasn't certified. He just has that is his dopey head. He was looking at the equipment and asking saying why did she replace that, I wouldn't have, almost everything she said she would replace he said he wouldn't have done it, and he even said she released monies to you to buy now items whats essential about a computer? And your old items work, and when I said I'll mention this to Ms Mann he was started backtracking saying he wasn't talking about her.
So, that makes me think she is his manager - and he is just got a problem with her. Come on he was taking the !!!! out of me, I have to do something about it, he insulted me what if my girlfriend or someone was there how degrading would that have been.
He is just rude and smug, and bloody annoying I didn't want to know about how he had to work so hard etc and kids these days get it easy, he was clearly talking about me.0 -
Unless you paid more than £22k for your insurance, the insurer will have made a loss on you this year, so may be glad when you take your business elsewhere!
However, as you have to declare you have had a £23k accidental damage claim in the last 5 years you may find insurers decline to quote you. Where I used to work would have.
As mentioned several times, let it go.
You've had a cracking result as it is, no need to push it for a new drill just because you feel belittled.0 -

I'll let it go, but it wasn't the issue of the drill, I got the drill for 25 quid, the issue is his smug snarky face, and treating me like a little kid. My no claims discount isn't affected either out of a good will gesture so I best just leave it, I suppose.0 -

If you move Insurers in the next few years, then your no claims bonus is likely to be reduced as other Insurers are unlikely to not reduce your no claims bonus0 -

NCD means nothing when it comes to insurers asking you for any claims in the last 5 years and how much. Home insurance and how they operate are different for Car insurance. It's heavily weighted to claims history"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Perhaps someone can explain how drilling through a wire causes anything like this? I've seen wires drilled several times, even on an old fuse board it doesn't do this sort of damage. I'm calling BS on the whole thing.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

£22k worth of damage that's a new one0

I smell a cleverly engineered electrical "accident" or reality research for a book.
Who has £22k of electrical & electronic kit? A rewire is £5k
If I drill through a wire in the wall the circuit trips and nothing else happens apart from the cussing!0 -
I too am incredibly sceptical about this post.
Drilling into a ring final would take out the MCB or RCD - I cannot think of any fault condition that would damage anything plugged in to that ring or in any part of the house.
If he had drilled into the 'major wire that supplies the house' i.e the armoured incomer (which are never buried in walls), then he wouldn't have a drill left and would almost certainly be in hospital.0 -

I have only what you have written here to judge your character and honestly you are coming across as a spoilt little kid not not just a kid.
Just let it go - save a lot of money in next few months to pay the huge increase in premiums you are bound to have to pay at renewal.0
