My laptop has just downloaded the Creators Edition and apart from taking over 2 hours to install I can see little difference unless someone wants to use edge - I use Firefox.
Is there any other diference or is this just another useless microsoft update?

This: https://www.theverge.com/2017/4/11/15256214/microsoft-windows-10-creators-update-features-review summarises the changes.
Something to read whilst formatting the drive for Linux mint!0 -
,, and after reading through the list of improvements of which not one interests me I see this threat at the bottom of the page...Microsoft has another major update planned for later this year, which should include a lot of notable new features and design improvements.
With this cut down laptop (32GB soldered in hard drive already looking pretty full) Linux Mint may turn out to be the only viable option,0 -

security updates etc. I would be concerned if software houses do not issue updates, why do you think the NHS has the recent issues they are using windows XP that microsoft stopped supporting and issuing security updates in 2014
rather than just give a link to a site that give the 10 best added features, maybe read the full changelog from microsoft http://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-10-creators-update-changelog0 -
Did you not read that it was Win 7 that had most WannaCry infections. I think the same vulnerability existed in Windows 10 but the autoupdate ensured it got patched before the virus arrived,
I'd rather there were no feature updates at all if they are as banal as those mentioned in that article. Just fixing the vulnerabilities rather than creating more might even keep the update size down to reasonable levels and possibly even stop filling up my disk.0 -
WannaCry has been around for years, it is the XP system that got hit. The gov. keep telling us to make sure we are upto date to secure out personal information and yet they are using outdated 20 year old software that is no longer supported by software house that holds personal info of millions of peoplekwikbreaks wrote: »Did you not read that it was Win 7 that had most WannaCry infections. The fact is the NHS are using out of dated un patched and un supported software, that is why they got infected.0 -
What industry might that be then?0
