I start my new job on 6th August so I have 2 weeks to get all my admin and house stuff sorted. My son's away with his dad next week so I'll have plenty of time to crack on. I've been doing quite well with it and got the garden done last weekend, which was a huge task I'd been putting off. Think a list is in order...
I've went back to keeping a spreadsheet of savings pots and working out an updated SOA, so I can see what goes where. I'll post that soon. I'm a bit worried the wage from my new job won't be enough to cover all my outgoings, so my savings will still be decreasing, however, I don't know how many hours I'll get in my second casual job, so I may be worrying over nothing. My first wage from the new job should be at the end of August.
I got a refund from SLC which will cover half my outgoings this month, which was good timing. I also sold something on ebay for £30 and vinted for £16. I have more stuff to list, but it's one of the tasks I'm procrastinating.

Put up new TV ✔
Fit cat flap ✔
I also sorted an electrician to come and fix my shower switch, which was something I was going to add to my next list ✔
I've decided on the first 5 items I'm listing on ebay and have put them in my line of sight. Just need to list them now!

The scrap man collected my old washing machine today, which has been in my yard for about 8 months 🥳✔
I must've tried to get someone to collect it about 4 times, same for the electrician. It's like all the trades that have been fobbing me off for a year all decided to be nice at once! Hopefully that means I'll hear from the plumber soon (who ghosted me), and someone will want my old fridge freezer which I keep trying to get of, for free, and no takers.
Haven't listed any stuff today, as my brother and nephew came round. Lovely to see them, but I'm appreciating the quiet now that my 6 year old nephew has left!

Sold something else on Vinted 👍I've got £22.21 sitting in the account so I've withdrew it.
I'm on week 2 of my new job and it's going well so far. It's a new venue opening next week, so we're all starting at the same time, which is lovely. I'm doing lots of overtime, however, I've just found out it won't be paid until the following month, so I may be a bit short this month, thus withdrawing vinted money.
I'm also waiting for the HSBC switch money. I'm not sure if I've fulfilled all the criteria yet, and I don't know if they pay it straight away or wait until the end of the month. Any ideas?
