I've started my third book of the month and have listed 8 things on ebay as I received a max selling fee email for this weekend gone. I wasn't expecting one so soon after the previous offer so it was a mad dash to get everything photographed and listed. I've still got quite a bit more to sell but not sure whether to wait until I receive another weekend offer.
I still need to phone and cancel the car insurance auto renewal.
Hopefully picking up the new kitchen goods on Thursday and my replacement laptop was posted today so I'm hoping it will be here tomorrow but will more likely be Wednesday.MFW - Original balance 28/08/2014 £52850Original MF date: 2049:eek: Aiming for: 2025 Current MFD: 2030

One of the reasons I looked up we buy books/ music magpie was the enormous bag of books we'd had waiting for the charity shop for about 6 months and lovkdown 3 meant our drop appointment (booked 3 months in advance!) got cancelled. If you have any books/dvds/cds in your CS bag worth seeing if you can sell them to an online dealer. Not much, but it gets them out of the house. If you haven't used them before then if you get a referral code from someone they'll give you a bonus fiver each (ie wbb and mm) so that's also a little extra. Let me know if you'd like a referral code.1

Thanks Viking. Wow 3 month's in advance booking!
Yes please to the wbb referral code. I tend to listen to CD's repeatedly until they're no good anymore so I don't think mm will want those

Finally cancelled the insurance renewal, I was on the phone for over half an hour! I'm sure they make it such a chore so that you don't bother switching provider.
The laptop came yesterday which was a nice surprise, and it's working fine so far. Fingers crossed it lasts as long as my previous one.
There are plenty of watchers on my ebay listings and I've had a few offers which I've declined, so hopefully they will be leaving the house by next week.
Thanks to @Viking_mfw I have found 25 books which will be leaving the house next week through we buy books, still have a few more piles to scan but I'm pleased with the results so far. It is mostly non-fiction books which they are accepting.
I've been playing with the mortgage OP calculator again and if we increase our mortgage payment by an extra £240pm (£120 each), we will be on track to have it finished in 5 years. I'm still hoping for 4 years, and at that point there will be approximately £8000 left so we should hopefully be able to pay it off with savings. Just need to speak to the OH about sending me an extra £120 each month - I hate having those kind of conversations lol. He can definitely afford it I just feel a bit uncomfortable asking, not sure why.

I'm so glad it's half term, no 'home schooling' for 10 days!
I received my Masters certificate through the post today so it's official, I passed with a merit! Seems like a lifetime ago when I finished my dissertation in August.
Everything is currently very groundhog day and I'm craving some excitement. Yes, as an introvert, it's taken me 11 months to feel this way
Oh, the kitchen goods were delivered yesterday so that was a little bit exciting! There's currently a fridge freezer, washing machine and cooker in my cupboard under the stairs (it's more like a room without a window!). Hopefully we will be able to play musical appliances tomorrow as I'm currently at work and then we have virtual games night when I get home.MFW - Original balance 28/08/2014 £52850Original MF date: 2049:eek: Aiming for: 2025 Current MFD: 2030

I've just taken a plaster off my toe for this weekend's excitement here, so new appliances are a greater level of excitement than I can currently comprehend 🤣!
Awesome result on the Masters 😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Hi @bubblycrazy I've just read your diary - you're doing so well with your mortgage! I'm in the North of England too - so relieved it's half term 😂 enjoy!0

Hi Sholly, oh another northerner!
Well the new fridge freezer and cooker are in. The FF is much smaller than the old one so I've had to play food tetris quite a bit. Going to have to be more careful with how much I can realistically keep in the freezer. But it makes the kitchen look bigger
As suspected, the washing machine was too big for the gap so still on the lookout for a slimline toploader and I'll sell this one.
My car has been to the garage this week as the engine management light came on. When I picked it up from the garage the light came back on so I took it back again. When I picked it up the second time the light came back on again so it has to go back a third time! Probably won't get back there until Friday but they've said it's only a faulty sensor so it's fine to drive around in it!
Sold 3 things on ebay, posted two of them so far.
Nothing much else to report, just having a lazy week not having to worry about school work.MFW - Original balance 28/08/2014 £52850Original MF date: 2049:eek: Aiming for: 2025 Current MFD: 2030
