Hi Maz,
I had to postpone the CCCS interview as I was busy on Monday.
I've posted letters to all of my creditors and had a call back from Three. They've agreed to terminate my contract eighteen months early; I say early because I signed a two year contract with them thinking it started straight away when in actual fact, it didn't start until my present one finished so in effect, I had a 3 year six month contract which is "illegal".
Valentines Day tomorrow, yes, and I fancy it will be really busy. I'm going in at 7.00am to load up the boot with flowers and start delivering from 8.00am. Last year, I think I delivered 48 bouquets @ £3.50 each so it was well worth it.
Took the paperwork from the catalogues back this morning and was offered another 369 to deliver with "no hurry" being the deadline so I'm going to go for that. I have never ever known a February been this busy so I'll make the most of it while the sun is shining.
Yesterday went to football in the evening. £20.00 petrol, £2.00 car park, £2.50 programme, £2.00 on two cups of Bovril and £1.00 on a Golden Gamble ticket. They won 1-0 so coughed up £2.40 on a post-match celebratory pint too...:j0 -
Thought it was going to be a quiet day. Hmmm...
Phone call at 8.00am while I was having breakfast. The twins mum was [strike]hungover[/strike] ill, so I had to trip over and take the boys to school. They live 20 mins away now so boys were late for school. Similar phone call this afternoon and she asked me to keep them until 7.00pm so I took them to work with me this evening. Lovely to see them though...:D
Moneywise, I spent another £20.00 on fuel ready for tomorrow plus £2.24 on lunch and about £3.00 for shopping.
Looking forward to delivering the flowers tomorrow.:o0 -
Well, got back in about an hour ago. The florist took on some extra drivers this year so there was 200 deliveries between seven of us. I pootled along steadily and ended on 37 which was less than last year but the boss had put the rate up to £4 a delivery which kind of made up for it. I drove 70 miles in total which crawling around Bristol was probably about £12-£15 of fuel so a good day really. I almost wish I could work there every day but I'd miss the variety, I think.
Spent £3.50 on lunch and was paid in cash today so I'll do a big shop tonight when I've had a bit of a rest.:rolleyes:0 -
Did a big shop last night. So big that the cashier didn't give me much change back from £70.....
There were some extras though. Bought a new flask and two lunchboxes for DS2 and DS3 ( £8.45 ), some new tea towels ( £5.00 ), clothes hangers for DS's clothes ( 97p ), four new pillows for £5.94, a pack of two t-shirts for £3.00 and a smart pair of trousers for £5.00. That lot came to £28.36 plus I bought irregular stuff like washing powder and toilet rolls ( £4.82 total ) so really only spent just about £36 which isn't too bad...
Today? Spent £2.24 on lunch and £3.00 tonight on DS2 and DS3's football training.0 -
You going to Moors valley whatsit meet tomorrow?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
-
Yes. Early start for us tomorrow as it's a two-hour drive there but I haven't taken the boys out far for a few weeks now so the run will do them good.
They're playing football on Sunday afternoon so will have plenty of recovery time...;)0 -
A tiring day of sorts today.
Went to Moors Valley meet-up today but with a couple of late withdrawals, it was only Soappie, BBaM and of course BB himself who turned up. Had a nice couple of hours there; good, long walk for an hour followed by lunch in the picnic area. It was lovely to meet them all though...:D
Spent £32.00 on petrol plus £1.93 on milk and butter, £2.00 on lottery tickets and £7.00  on car parking at Moors Valley.
My smart, new business cards came from postie this morning. They cost me about £7.00 for 250 IIRC. I needed new ones as address, phone number, mobile number and email addy had changed from the last one. I'm also trying to expand the business from March as I'm tired of scraping by each month.:o0 -
Hey YM, just checkin in and seeing how your doing as I haven't been around for a while. Glad things seem to be ok!

Had a proud daddy moment today.:j
My twins play in an under-sevens football team. They haven't missed a game yet this season and the team is doing quite well with ten wins and six defeats. One twin has scored four goals and the other two but today they both scored...:j :j :j :j :j :j ...must admit to having a tear in my eye when the second one scored his...:D
Spent £4.00 on their subs plus £7.80 on a round of drinks at the pub afterwards. I'm back to delivering catalogues tomorrow so back full steam ahead on the diet too as the wheels have fallen off a bit lately. I haven't put any more on but I haven't lost any either.0
