    Hi all

Didnt manage to get on yesterday, thoughts and prayers are with anyone affected by the terrible events in Manchester.

DS1 has caught my cold, right in the middle of his GCSEs. He didnt have any exams yesterday so I let him stay at home.

Have been around with the duster and polish this morning. Bathroom scrubbed last night when I got a shower after my gym class.

Another lovely sunny morning, hope it's making everyone feel better. Might get the bike out this afternoon instead of going to the gym.

Right best get ready for the paid stuff, have a good Wednesday everyone x

Sorry for the delay in putting today's list up :D We had a crisis here last night but it's sorted now, although I am absolutely shattered. Anyway the list is up now, please take note of the bolded large letters in the list..this is vital as I can vouch for them working :D

I'm still plugging away at Operation Fire in the kitchen.. I'm really pleased as to how it's turning out too. We are actually looking at the fire as a blessing as it has meant I am able to do a complete gut of everything and throw away stuff that really I do NOT need. I wouldn't have done this if the fire hadn't happened, so you can see why it is a blessing instead of a disaster :D

As an aside did you know that soot everywhere highlights all the cobwebs in the house and makes them look like pretty dark lace :D Ok that's my strange mind..lol Still I'm cobweb free now :D

    Good morning.

Smoke alarms checked. Apart from bringing in the washing which has been hanging out overnight and a general tidy round, that is probably all the housework that I shall achieve today.

I am gong to a friend's funeral this morning on the other side of the big city. Hope to get back in time to go out with DH for a couple of hours this afternoon, then do gardening this evening. Before I go, I must try to reschedule our flights, but I can't do it until I've got one other piece of information which involves a phonecall in office hours - frustrating!

Glad you're feeling brighter today, atb.
Hope your son is also feeling a bit better for his exams, YL.
Well done Valli on the new sig line :T

Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed x

Been gardening, weeding done for now, pot repotted, sweet peas seeds planted, but I think they might be too late for this year.

I doubt it and I hope not. Most things seem to be pretty desperate to go to seed ....

    Please with update to sig...

    Not flown much though

Congrats on the updated sig, Valli. I think a pat on the back, a lie down in a darkened room on a chaise longue with someone gently fanning you and feeding you chocolates is in order ....

All washing folded and put away, stairs and landing vacuummed, kitchen sorted.
    Better is good enough.

    Afternoon all. Welcome newbies.

Yesterday I did the final bits of sorting out in the room of doom and now it is back to being just a gym. Today, I dusted the dusty bits in the hobby room.

    Afternoon all.
I love how you are finding so much positive from what must have been a scary experience Natty.

    So today I have:
Taken DD to school after she went back to sleep despite 3 calls from me. But I combined it with a quick visit to the market for f & v which then saved me going to a supermarket and hope fully saved a few pennies as well. :money:
Been for a jog-walk. Alright then, more of a walk and a natter with the odd jog.
Run bedding through WM. Stripped DD's bed. Run WM through a clean cycle. I am ashamed to say that I have never done this before....I seem to manage to miss that part of the list every time. :o
Taken DH to hospital for a check up which meant that he couldn't drive himself home.
Spent a hot hour or so on the allotment which seems to be mighty productive for weeds if not much else at the moment.
Got dinner prepared for DH to stick in the oven while I am out volunteering with DD. Will leave him to water the plants outside as well. He doesn't know that yet......

Natty sorry to hear you had a crisis - I hope everyone is ok.

Smoke alarm is tested every week here, I've experienced one house fire, back when I was a teenager, and I never want to experience another. We had a couple of hunky firemen round last August to check our place over (a service they offer for free) and part of the service was providing and installing a shiny new smoke alarm, which I can easily poke with my walking stick to test.

Not a lot done today as I woke with a migraine (again - ggrrrr) but I have Dys0ned up a cylinder full of Cassie-hair. Mr LW took her out in the garden for a game of ball while I did it, or she'd have just stood there and barked at me the whole time - somehow I think he got the best of the deal! :D

Dancemum I've got older nail varnish than that, which is still usable. ;) I don't think there's the same issues with nail varnish as with eye make-up and lipstick etc really.

Mr LW managed to mislay my mobility scooter key yesterday - he'd put the scooter away in it's shed for me the night before and not put the key back in it's normal place. So I used the spare (thankfully it came with two keys) and instructed him to retrace his steps and find it!! Transpired he'd put it in his jacket pocket while he put the battery to charge, then hung his jacket in the wardrobe with the key still in the pocket. So all's well that ends well. :o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
