Have a lovely weekend Emmie

I'm back!! I had no wifi or time to update or read any diaries while I was gone but I have stayed on the straight and narrow regardless.
Had a lovely time and spent £24 on toboggan in Llandudno, £2 parking, £1.90 on some fudge as a thank you for my mum who has looked after the animals while we were away.
So all in all pretty good I think DH spent more because he paid for a meal and he drinks like a fish but if he wants to spend his 'spare' money on that so be it
I've just got back and DH has gone off to work so I've wrote myself the mother of all to do lists to get done between today and Thursday, which is when I'm going back to Wales to get the children. We used 1/2 tank for the journey there so hopefully should have enough to to get us back.
This is what I need to get done:
- wash all bedding
- wash all clothes from the weekend
- sort holiday insurance (I have it with current account but have to cover my asthma separately )
- complete API for airline
- email DD school as she will be miss first day of school(it was £1000 cheaper to come back Tuesday instead of Saturday)
- Tidy DS bedroom
-Tidy DD bedroom (this is worse)
- Try and write two reports for work today so that I can finish early on Thursday and get back to children a bit earlier.
- go on prolific and see if any surveys and also send money over to my account.
- go and get food shopping. We have £60 to last us the next 16 days so in the interests of money saving me and DH are going vegetarian for the week. Today's meal is going to be a 3 bean chilli.
- clean car so I can swap with DH and drive the new car back to Wales. Mine is always a mess and he goes mad at me.
- Sort professional registration renewal.
- Take treat over to my mum to say thank you.
There is no time for dilly dallying so I aren't going to read any diaries until tonight. I'm going to get my skates on now wish me luck

Woah I'm shattered, I am almost glad to be going to work tomorrow for a rest (not quite though).
My to do list has been slayed.
- washed and dried 3 loads of bedding, 2 loads of clothes and only had the drier on once, the rest has been on the line.
- completed API for holiday, researched euros and decided against ordering online, I'm just going to get some when I'm there with my credit card as its the cheapest way although I am a bit nervous about taking none
- sent a grovelling email to school to apologise for her being absent on first day of term.
- tidied and cleaned both children's bedrooms.
- paid for professional registration.
- biggest success has been the weekly shop completed for £12. I've done a massive batch of 3 bean chilli and it was sooooo tasty, yet cost about £2 for about 6-8 portions. I've halved it and am going to put some in the freezer and then there will be enough for me and DH for tomorrow.
- I have tried to cash out prolific but I have £2.30 pending so I'm going to wait. There have been no surveys today though, but I don't think I've checked enough really.
Still got quite a bit on my list for tomorrow but I'm very chuffed to have got through so much. It's amazing what I can do when work doesn't get in the way.
Tomorrows list:
- work an hour overtime because I didn't have chance to work today.
- look at holiday insurance.
- tidy spare room.
- clean car.
- take mum her treat.
- sort out school uniforms, stationery and bags.
- make vegetable flan for tea.
To try and make my money go a little further I've only paid half my budgeted monthly amount on piano lessons. Normally I pay for 4 lessons at a time but because we are only having 2 lessons in August, due to holidays, I've just sent enough for 2, I'm not sure he will be happy about this but it has given me an extra £34 to spend on petrol, which is the budget that is really struggling this month.
Doing a vegetarian shop made me realise the amount of money we spend on meat normally. I would love to feed my children the type of meals that I made today but my son is just sooooo picky. I think I will try and sneak in a few veggie meals though and see what happens.

Well back to work today, I managed to do a bit of overtime and I've spoken to my colleagues to tell them I'm finishing at lunchtime Thursday so I can go back to Wales.
I've got a 1:1 with my manager in the morning and I want to talk to her about progressing into higher pay scales. I took a sideways step in order to take this job, but I thought there would be lots of opportunities for me. I've been in place for about 2 1/2 months now so I want to make sure she knows I want promotion but I'm a bit nervous, I don't want it sound too pushy.
It seems really quiet without the children, the house is immaculate like a show home, I've tidied the spare room, made another veggie meal and done loads of prolific surveys. I've made nearly £10 today, which is great because I need to get some makeup, just concealer and foundation but I have no personal spends left so I'm hoping if this clears quickly enough it will bridge the gap.
My mission is to try and find some vouchers to help bring the cost down.
Last night I was a big saddo and fell asleep watching Dave Ramsey YouTube videos, I really hope his subconscious messages infiltrated my brain while I was sleeping, maybe they did because today was a NSD yay!!

I'm having no luck with Prolific at the moment, hardly any surveys, although I have cashed out about £35 in the past few weeks. Hoping it picks up0

HI - I am feeling good at the minute, sometimes I feel like life is one big treadmill, I never get chance to get on top of housework and between work and after school activities etc I have zero free time. I forgot how nice it was to be organised and how much easier life is
Louby - prolific is a funny one, last week I got hardly any surveys and then this week I have made about £18 already, there is just no telling. My balance is up to £38 but some of it is pending.
Cherry fudge - the meeting was fabulous, I have felt so good all afternoon, I went in with everything I wanted to say and she was happy with it all, she has earmarked me for a promotion that is coming up in October :T I don't want to get my hopes up or tell anyone really in case it doesn't happen but if it comes off it will be amazing and will possibly mean a 10k pay rise over the next 5 years once I'm up to scratch. I've had to apply for a course the afternoon which will mean a tough 6 months from October onwards but the pay off will be my dream job!
In other news another NSD and my house remains very quiet. No super healthy dinner tonight though, just jam on toast
I'm off to fulfill the last of my to do list, so that means a quick clean of the car and a phone call regarding holiday insurance. I also want to have one last clean of the house (I don't know what else to clean) as I'm back to Wales tomorrow until Friday night.
