    Again, unfortunately not.

My lamps have that plug on them, so I need a cable with the socket it fits into.
Thats a female socket. Try 5.5 x 2.5 female to usb.

I've found a few, but they all seem to be terminated with a mini USB plug.

I'd need to convert that to a full sized USB plug.

I've seen adaptors, to convert USB to mini USB, but not the other way round.

If your searching for "coaxial" your not going to find what you want...... Because it's not coaxial (at least nobody ever calls it that), it's a DC power jack and i've bought a good number of them over the years. 5.5x2.5 is however quite rare, i suspect you need a 5.5x2.1.

If you can't find what you want, just buy a cheap USB lead, cut the end off and wire it into a power jack.

    Example

If it turns out you need 5.5 x 2.1, then you can save a lot of hassle (fiddly soldering) by buying CCTV power connectors with screw terminals.

I think this is the one you need:-

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/hvm/SODIAL-5-5mm-2-1mm-Barrel-Jack-Power-Cable/B008JUXPA0

    It's only £1.50 delivered.

2.5mm power jack or 2.5mm phono jack (female)

Dont forget the bulbs are unlikely to be 5v though... You will probably need a transformer.

    chrisw thats a 2.1mm not a 2.5mm

I've got a Philips LifeLight Home Solar pendants kit, from Home Bargains.

I was hoping to plug the lamps into a 20,000 mAh, USB Power Pack I've got.

It is easily doable IF the 20Ah usb battery delivers the exact same voltage as the Philips controller AND the 20Ah usb battery is able to supply current that is needed. If the voltages are different then you will need electronics to step it up/down to the solar power spec.

This looks like it would be good for africa, especially with bright winter days, rather than murky overcast uk.

The really big thing is all the power conversion, which are often not efficient. Just power the lamps from a wall socket power adapter. Also my 20Ah usb battery takes days to fully charge.

According to Philips spec the solar panel is only 4W but voltage not specified.

That plug is currently on my lamp, so I need the counterpart to it.

    ETA: I've ordered it anyway.

At that price, it's worth a punt. :)

If it's the right size, I'll order this female to female adaptor, to joint it it up.

The maximum output from the power-bank is 4.5A, so I don't think a 16W led lamp is going to pose much of a problem.
Just power the lamps from a wall socket power adaptor.

Not really possible during a power cut, or on a camping trip.

I'm trying to locate an adaptor, consisting of a USB plug on one end, and a coaxial socket on the other.

The coaxial plug I want to plug in, had an O/D of 5mm, and an I/D of 2.5mm.

    Thanks in advance.

You buy a usb cable, using only 2 wires connect it to a femail socket. Maplin will probably sell them for about £2.30
