Time Limit For CCJ?

Parking Eye have been able to issue a CCJ against me since March.

As of yet they haven't. I will pay it if and when they do and I know I can so within 30 days and have it erased.

Is there any chance they won't?

Are these delays usual?

I don't mind ringing the court every couple of weeks to see if changes but it is puzzling me a little.

Any thoughts appreciated.

I was under the impression that Judges issued CCJs, not PPCs.

Why have you started a new thread on this?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

I have to admit I have no idea what you are on about. The post makes no sense whatsoever sadly.

Can you explain exactly what you've had then we can advise properly.

Reading that it looks like they agreed to go to POPLA. Great. Why isn't this sorted out then?

Why? Pretty self explanatory I would have thought.

Parking Eye 'won'. They either proceed and I get a CCJ or they don't.

My question is whether they have a time limit to have the judgement put against me.

That's already happened, hence my question.

I spoke to the county court helpline and a CCJ could have been issued anytime since the middle of March. He wondered whether they were saving up a 'batch' to do in one go due to the volume they get involved in.

I merely wonder whether there is any timescale they must adhere to as I will pay the £175 within 30 days to have it erased but don't want to volunteer the money to them before I need to.

the judge set the timescale , usually within 28 days

after that you cannot pay and get it "erased" , but you can pay and have it marked as "satisfied" (but it still appears on your credit record for several years)

so the CCJ is technically in force, but they have not "enforced" it yet

it is too late to get it "erased"

Twenty eight days have long since elapsed. Erased was maybe the wrong word but I was told by the court that if I paid any judgement within 30 days it would in effect be as if never happened.
