Morning all. Sunshine and blue skies here, and my garden has enjoyed the 2 days of gentle rain :)

Glad to hear that Squeak hasn't got appendicitis and that your OH is enjoying work, pigpen. AB-working vibes to you all x
Hope you feel better soon, YL.
How's the shoulder today, LW? Not long now until you welcome another doggy guest!
Wow, dancemum - you had a blast with the steam cleaner!
Good luck to your DH, Dizzy.

Yesterday I managed to get out into the garden for a couple of hours, even though it was raining. That was good for me, and I slept better last night. I also had a productive meeting with my placement supervisor which has given me a boost.

    Today's plan:
    [STRIKE]- check finances
    - prep veg and put stew in SC[/STRIKE]
    - get my placement agreement typed up (yes, that's my job, not the supervisor's!) and email it to supervisor for his approval/amendment and signature, then return it to college
    - update DH's medical notes
    - do my nails before I shower, then put on nail varnish that I forgot yesterday
    - S&S kitchen
    - finish mending the hinge on the bathroom cupboard door (I've already filled the screwholes in the fibreboard with matchsticks and wood glue, which is all over my hands, so probably a good thing that I'm doing my nails today :rotfl:)
    - S&S bathroom, including taking down the airer and putting clean washing away
    - work on my essay
    - send some emails
    - S&S ensuite and remake guest bed, now that DH can manage the stairs again
    - drive DH to the funeral of one of his wargaming friends; while he's there, take his railway uniform to the dry cleaner's and do F&V shopping
    - more gardening this afternoon
    - aim to read 2 articles for my course

Also to be done today: persuade / cajole / threaten DH into
    - replying to letter from DVLA
    - clearing his piles of magazines and books from the LR and the kitchen table
    - sorting his ISA
He went out yesterday evening (against doctor's orders, of course) with a friend to the local railway society's meeting and came back happy, so I have a chance of succeeding!

Have a good day all x

Morning all. I've had a quick skim read so hope poorlies are better soon, that all those with job interviews have great ones, and that essays/exams are completed successfully.

This morning I have done the ironing. About to look at the list before job searching again. I think I may have an offer of a temporary position, need to find out more today.

    Have a great day everyone.

Thank you for asking; unfortunately it's still extremely painful. I'm coping with a combination of the infra-sonic machine, Tiger Balm, and Oramorph - plus a good helping of sheer bloody-mindedness. :D
I sort of managed my yoga routine this afternoon (I have more movement in it later in the day) but I know I'm not really doing the poses properly.
Never mind - Cassie will be here tomorrow, so the whole world will look better. ;)

ETA I forgot to mention - I will of course send healing energy for YorkshireDog's eye.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Evening all,

    Daily stuff done
Half hour gardening at the back, and another at the front. Dock leaves and dandelions are taking over the world!
    Grass mowed.
    Online governor training course started
One million cups of tea made for builders
    Half an hour ironing.

I need an early night, hardly any sleep happened last night, I'm pooped.

LW, I really hope your pain eases then you can enjoy the doggy x
    YL hugs x

Thanks for your kinds words. The dogs eye looks better but I know this may be no indication of what is really going on. He has had to come off the medication he takes for his allergies so now he is itchy. Back at the vets this aft.

Yesterday was taken up with paid stuff and helping DS1 apply for jobs. I did manage to go to my gym class though, first one for a week.

The house isnt too terrible, it could be better in places. Oh and its raining again!

I am really behind on my work for job no. 2 but I am getting more and more reluctant to work weekends. Will see what I manage to get done today.

Have a good Friday everyone x
