Their worst case scenario is if you bring a case under disability discrimination and get local press involved , £200 in court losses would still leave you enough for a few days at the seaside , AND how could the ATA that they are members of continue to assist them

Thanks for your reply - yes they sent a POPLA code - I initially appealed via Resolver and have now escalated the matter

Thank you for the idea - not sure I want my issues in the papers but no harm in threatening to involve the press - they are threatening what they believe to be an elderly vulnerable person who will roll over and pay up....it's not happening!! They have no revenue from this FREE car park other than by scams like this

Did you appeal to PoPLA? We haven't seen your draft PoPLA appeal here so I'm worried you haven't followed the tried and tested route recommended here to get this crushed.

Resolver is unlikely to have dealt with poplA!

So follow the advice in the newbies FAQ thread on constructing a popla appeal.

Put it up here for comments

If your facts are correct, then you can not lose in court and should not lose at POPLA. To pay anything under these circumstances would be so wrong.

Your appeal to POPLA should NOT contain any of the usual appeal points in the NEWBIES thread.

You are not trying to wriggle out of anything and you simply need to base your appeal on (a) the photographs (B) the reply you got from the PPC admitting that you were a genuine BB holder and , to a lesser extent (c) the conversation with the warden/

Should it get to court, then you would ask the PPC (a) if wardens could cancel invalid tickets if they were challenged on site and (b) are wardens on any incentive scheme or targets.

Resolver are useless at private parking charge 'complaints' because they appear not to understand the scam. From what I've seen, Resolver encourage complaint letters to firms - but this isn't the same, this industry involves scammers.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

the badge was visible on the dash . . . [ so ] . . . we will accept £15 in full settlement.
I'm fairly new to this forum, but that is one of the most extreme demands I've heard ; "You didn't break the rules, so we'll only give you a small fine".

Sound more like Fraud than Trading Standards.

These companies are nothing to do with trading standards/ weights and measures etc

They are unregulated, set up their own " independent" appeal court, falsify photos etc etc

    And they don't issue fines!!
