I also received my PAC by text today.

I'm moving to O2 PAYG as they are the only operator apart from Vodafone to provide coverage in our area.

We have virtually no EE signal and certainly no 3 signal.

I'm only a light user, so 5p/min/text isn't really much different to the Talkmobile rates so isn't going to break the bank.

I also had my un requested PAC yesterday. Has anyone had the "Unique Voucher Code, which has been sent to you via SMS."?

I haven't, just the PAC, not called them yet but just wondering if I am the only one or if it is common

I am hoping if I get code & Voda PAYG sim it will have a few quid on it as per https://talkmobile.co.uk/payg/closure

My phone is locked to Voda so it is either them or Lycamobile for the moment. Currently looking at Voda as mainly use text, no data or calls.

To answer my own question above. I phoned 5888 and asked about the promo code, which was then sent to me via text

Have to go to https://freesim.vodafone.co.uk/talkmobile and enter it there

My Voda SIM now ordered, not sure if any credit is on there, wait & see I guess

I got the impression the codes, like credit refunds, are something you have to ask for.

I got my "offer" via a text several weeks ago with a voucher code to enable me to get the free £10.

Remember Vodafone charge 30p a minute:shocked: - a 60 minute call on TalkMobile cost 10p. That same call will cost you £18 on Vodafone. What a rip off!

Thanks, SB, but my phone is locked to Voda at the moment so not much choice really, I hope to use Voda money and then get my free unlock code after 30 days

Only very low user, no data at all used

Is it £10 credit that sits there until used, or is it a 1 month bundle worth £10 that starts immediately?

Well the transfer went smoothly and my old number transferred over to O2 PAYG without any issues.

I've sent a snail mail letter to Talkmobile requesting my remaining credit of £10,29 be refunded.

I'll update this when I receive the cheque!
