Though if you have time before you travel, get a Halifax Clarity and/or Creation Everyday CC0 -
Cheers mate
i did look at the clarity card not sure i want to get one just for one holiday though0 -
I have Narrowed it down to
Post office Travel Card (They can supply Thai Currency unlike revolut where you take sterling and its converted at time of transfer)
Fair Fx(Rates look decent low ATM fee)
CartonFx (So far this is the one im looking to go for no ATM transfer fees and exchange rate is pretty close to post office, They also can supply it direct in Baht looking at it)
Anyone have any Experience with any of these cards0 -

You need to take note of the advice given.
Forget about obtaining a card denominated in Thai baht and forget about Revolut in Thailand.
The VirginEssentials account will currently get you a rate of 44.94 according to https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/consumers/get-support/convert-currency.html It's a Basic account, so no overdraft or issues obtaining it.
Somewhat better than anything you suggest.
Caxton card will be denominated in Pounds and convert at the time of transaction anyway, at a rate of 2.49% off the Mastercard rate indicated for the Virgin Essentials debit card.0 -
Okay its just i cant seem to find any information on the account about using abroad, whats the difference between using the virgin account to just using my Normal current account? wont there be Conversion Fees, ATM fee etc0

like if i use halifax abroad it take 10% of how much i get out plus charges me £2 for atm use plus thai charge you 200 baht plus the conversion fee, i think its something like that i know it costs alot to get £100 out probably cost me £150

Halifax Debit horrible for travel.(Halifax Debit Card
Spending penalty: £1.50 | Conversion fee: 2.75% | Cash withdrawal fee: £1.50) Don't use it. Halifax Clarity one of the best.
Since you already have a Halifax account, consider the Clarity so that you aren't dependent on just one card.0 -
Ahh okay Sounds good
i might try apply for one of these then

Also if you have the Clarity, it gives you the option of popping in to certain banks and withdrawing over the counter, thereby avoiding the 220 baht ATM cash grab.
So no fees at all from your £100 cash advance.
Some banks are a bit dodgy and will try to grab a pound of flesh anyway, so avoid them. Perhaps any with SIAM in the name, especially Siam Commercial Bank.
Check your slips before signing anything. Cash advance over the counter with CC and paper money exchange within Thailand itself are the most cost effective methods.0
