Garden Buildings Direct Hell

I ordered a Billy Oh Log cabin from Garden Buildings direct, it arrived and the driver put it in our back garden scanning everything off his vehicle, halfway through he discovered that the other half of the delivery was incorrect and assured us that the remaining parts would be delivered in 2-3 days.
The following week more was delivered, and the driver assured us that that was all the parts. We then booked our builder to put the cabin up.
The builder arrived and discovered crucial parts were missing and after calling Garden Buildings and giving them a list of these parts were told that they would arrive in 2-3 working days. Over a week later we were promised a date of the 10th May, today. When it did not arrived we called them up to be told that it will now be the 13th of May, a Saturday, and they never told us the 10th.
We dont know what to believe now, will they turn up, are we just being strung on. Has anyone else had experience of this happening, and how likely is it that I am going to get the remainder this Saturday.
Luckily I paid via Barclaycard so can do a chargeback this weekend if it does not arrive, I did look on trustpilot before ordering and their reviews were fine.

Well, it gets worse, and quite surreal.
So I am given a date of today for delivery, they confirm this in writing and we call them up this morning just to double check are told we are the drivers 1st drop.
The day goes on, and I call them to double check, and got told again, he will be with us soon, at about 4.30 I call again, to be told we are now his 2nd drop and he will be with us soon. I then talk to them on live chat, asking if they do deliveries on Saturday, to be told they dont, then I gave my order number and all of a sudden they change their minds and say I will get my delivery today.
Another livechat at 8, to be told again that it is still out for delivery, so I press them ask them how long do I have to wait up for only for them to tell me that actually, it's not going to arrive. At several points during they day the latest drop off time changed from 6, then to 7, then to 8.
All through this the driver was apparently uncontactable by mobile phone.
What I dont understand is, why tell people you are delivering, then when they call up to check again still insist the delivery is out when you know for well it is not. I would rather someone be honest and just tell me they cant deliver, and save me wasting a day waiting in.
I have never had such appalling service from a company.0 -

We do not normally deliver on Saturdays, but where we can and we agree to an additional charge will be levied. We do not deliver at all on Sundays or public holidays.
so IF it comes they {as I read this} will charge extra to do so {the mind boggles}0 -
They say one thing, and do another. On their live chat, which I have a log of, they say the dont deliver on weekends. I dont think they really know what they are doing.0

So true from both what you are saying and the reviews, it seems once they have even a part of the money delivery is in the lap of the Gods.

I hope so too, and as I was having a lie-in this morning I got a call from them at 8.25am, I heard someone say something and then put the phone down on me!0

Read the threads on Kybotech. Charles Walton the owner of GBD is a master of search engine optimisation and the reviews on Trustpilot are worthless as only positive ones are generally posted.
Kybotech/GBD and their stable of brands even promised MSE that they would sort out the problems in the past. A leopard never changes its spots.The man without a signature.0 -
I wish I had seen that thread back in March when I ordered from them.
I have put a review up on Trustpilot as well as 2 other sites, offering documentation and chat logs to back up all my claims. Lets see how long they stay up.0 -
Well an update, we just had the rest of the cabin delivered today, on a Sunday. We were told that we were never scheduled for delivery on Saturday at all, so the call centre lied to us, making us wait in all day knowing that it would not turn up.
Our builder is coming to check off the parts tomorrow to make sure it's all there and put it up next weekend, I will post on here on how that goes.0 -
Another update, our builder checked everything off and only 1 very minor part was missing, but we also recieved alot of extra parts we already had and did not need as well. The cabin is going up this weekend and will report back on how that goes.0
