I misspoke when I said cross promotion - what I've switched on is item promotion so if someone looks at another seller's page my item may show as an alternative. As I say, not sure if it's that or not, but sales have picked up markedly, albeit from a low base.
I'm a private seller .
How do you switch on item promotion and do you do it for each individual item or does it switch on all your listings in one go?0 -
Does it cost?? If so how much??Work to live= not live to work0

Promotions Manager is where you need to go. No it doesn't cost. If you activate it, it prevents other seller's ads being on the main part of your listing.0

Checked. My one was already switched on
Ok this might sound thick lol.. But the way the different shop levels are called. Does it mean a featured shop is 'featured ' more in best matches ??

There isn't any additional exposure/visibility for a higher level shop.
RE promotions, go to Seller Hub and selection Promotions from the Marketing tab, from here you can set up promotions such as "spend x and save x%" or "buy x and save £x".
You can do it via shop category, individual listings and I think everything but by category appears to be sensible as this increases the change of the promotion showing in the core search results.
Once you have a promo set up, between the top of the listing and your description a banner will appear showing the promo and the other items in the promo.
If you don't have a promo eBay will show normally "similar" items instead (but you may not see them when signed in and looking at your own listings but other people will).
If you are getting the packing voucher the bubblewrap is really expense and conveniently priced at £9.95 to make sure you either buy something else or pay the £2.99 delivery fee.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
