There isn't much I can add about your horrendous week but it sounds like you have dealt with it as best as you could. Perhaps even better than that? I am so sorry that times are tough for you right now but you are still fighting. Good on you.
Your upcoming holiday is going to be just what you need. Away from the day to day worries and I hope less of the cleaning etc.
You have a lot of friends here on your diary, all on your side. I know that isn't the same as in person but it's there.Don't get it perfect - Get it goingBetter Than Before0 -
Thank you pauline, I cannot wait for the week away. It won't be spendy nor much different to what we do at home. BUT it will be fresh air, sea and a change of scenery. Thank you for stopping in too x0

Check the holiday list and that everything is in case and ready.
Suitcase packing isn't a big job really as everything is ironed and in its place so just a matter of picking it out and putting it in there.
Need to make sure we have enough meds and things and pack med boxes.
Haven't done the suitcase. Will have to do it tomorrow. I'm too tired now:rotfl:
Everything else is sorted though, have made soup and 'ready meals' out of the fridge things so nothing will go to waste why we are away. Made fruit crumbles, fruit muffins and things with the fruit so that doesn't go to waste either.
PJ order arrived and as usual all good. DD was given another bag of clothes of her friend and it's the friends actual birthday tomorrow so has been invited round for dinner.0 -

Glad payday finally came. I think it's the same for most of us - straight back out of the bank.
Hope you have a fab holiday xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Just a thought.....
How about setting your little ones the task of keeping a joint diary of their week away?
It will keep them busy and give them the opportunity to show you what a good time they have had (lets face it, the beach is great any time of the year when you are young, or not so young).
I know you do quite a bit with them so this idea is more for you than them. You know the cold, miserable nights when nothing seems to be going right? Well, you can then take out the diary and remind yourself that it is all worth it. Just another type of self care.

That's such a good idea Pauline. I have added that to my list of things to take/do they'd enjoy that and would enjoy looking at it too. Thank you x
Today's to do list is pretty much the same as yesterday. With packing taking the priority.
Along with a toddler following round being sick. This cough is driving me insane. So I can only imagine how she feels now it's making her sick too!
Older two are in school. DD is invited our for dinner today (she has a better social life than I do :rotfl:)
The weather looks quite bad this weekend so have added a few board games onto my packing list along with the usual cards/domino's and the making of a scrapbooks I love this ideacan't believe I've never thought of it
Hope everyone has a lovely day x0 -

I hope you'll excuse fulsome compliments from a total stranger, but have finally found a minute after following your diary from page 1 to say what a wonderful woman you are. Do you realise how much inspiration you give to so many people? I hope what I;m about to say isn't too close to the bone - if so, apologies. I too have had some issues with my mother (though nothing compared to yours) and I'm so impressed by the way you are not letting that influence how you treat your children. A medal would not be enough to recognise your determination, grit and character. I'm sure there are many more people like me who lurk out of admiration for you as well as regular posters. Okay I think I'm finally done. Well as much as can be done.
Just the last minute things tomorrow like phone charger etc but spares are already packed anyway :rotfl:
House is clean
Kids dinner is ready for them coming home and I've packed tomorrows lunch and done one each for their dinner tomorrow too. Don't want any expensive unplanned food out because it will be quite late when we arriveand they're always hungry when they come out of school :rotfl:
Have done the meal plan for the week away, done Mr Sains to deliver tomorrow night to the van. £38 deliveredIt does include milk/nappies and some snacks and things as I won't be baking snacks. All food etc will be from this shop though and nothing extra bought.
I'm considering drawing some money out the bank though and doing a few things while we are there. I'm not sure yet. I don't want to let things slip but then we never really spend on anythingand there is a few things we want to do (zoo
is the most expensive but I have saved some vouchers for that) I also have some Mr T vouchers converted for another day out in Blackpool. We will want to do the illuminations again and this might need the bus/train ride into the centre. I'm just not sure
Will take the grocery shop from the grocery budget though as that's what its there for.
Still feel uneasy not knowing what to do0
