You so remind me of me when I was your age with young ones. We always had a nighttime routine, bath, drink and story. Mine were always good sleepers, still are. Happy days :)

You're doing really well, don't worry about the spends, some days it can't be helped and if you had a good day so what.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Hi Hidden, just catching up on your diary after being AWOL for a week while OH was home. Can't believe you do all the linen everyday- i've been stripping all the beds today after all my boys have gone and i feel like it's taken me all day, so dunno how you do it everyday (although buying a super kingsize duvet was the worst decision ever- it's so snuggly in the winter but my arms are too short to put the duvet cover on so i end up practically inside the thing to get it back on :rotfl:).

You're making great progress, and glad that the boiler is sorted, OH asked to put the heating on the other day with this rubbish summer weather but i told him off and got the blanket out instead. True he works offshore in a very sunny climate so was feeling the cold, but i'm not putting the heating on in August

  • DD has been awarded DLA. This will make a huge difference in the things she needs and I think it will help towards getting her pushchair and carseat sorted. Will speak to OT this week for their help. I will not be using this money towards my debt. It will help massively to get her nappies etc though (She only gets 3 a day on the NHS going to 5 a day when she's 5 which I'm sure most parents know this doesn't even last till lunchtime most days) Anyway it's brilliant news and will mean she can get what she needs now.

In other post fine letter came to say the recovery of goods cannot take place from here :D Battle won. However for as long as he's leaving the money here I will continue to walk to the garage and pay it so I don't have to worry about another battle.

EDF confirming I'm no longer on the deemed prepayment tariff and offering me the fix till 2018.

    More in the next post.
  • Meal plan:

Thursday - Beef casserole and home made giant yorkshire pudding
Friday - LO Beef casserole in pies.

Breakfast: Cereal (That seems to be breeding!)/Toast/Fruit or on the days we are home waffles/pancakes.
Lunches: Soup/Sandwiches/Pasta salad/Wraps or Something cooked if we are at home.

Snacks: Tomorrow we will make oat biscuits/flapjack/australian crunch and fairy cakes. All things that can be put in to lunch boxes. Along with fruit/yog/jelly.

Mon - I have an appointment and then we will probably go to my mums.
Tues - We have some stuff to do in town and will do the museum and library
Weds and Thurs I'm at work training so easy food as I won't get home till 5. Kids will have breakfast and I'll leave pack lunches for their lunch.
Friday - More appointments for DD.

I think we might need more milk at some point as used some making lasagne today and kids had cereal this morning when normally it's something cooked.
  • That's fantastic news HI. Do you know what rates? If it's middle or higher you will also get an extra top up of tax credits. You've done well getting the nappies on the NHS, it's taken us until D'S was 11 and he gets 1 for night time and washable ones for the day that are completely useless so we have to buy them anyway.
The letter about the loan is great news too. At least you won't feel as anxious if he ever decided not to pay it.
LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
    Mortgage@1 June 18 - £76350
    Total debt @june 18 £102311
    Debt Jan 25 £8282
Mortgage £51215. Total debt now £59497

Do I contact Tax credits? I was worried they'd go down :o

Thank you for all your help too x
  • Yes contact tax credits, they should go up as you will get the disability element added on. How much by will depend on the rate she has been awarded x

Brilliant news HI, so glad that things are starting to go in the right direction for you. X
    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
