Dizzy sweetheart, thinking of you, it's such a horrid situation to be in. Sending a big hug to you x
ATB not surprised you sent a ranting email - £800 is a whole lot of money.
Iona glad you got inspired for your coursework!
Mrs-MP glad you're OK - good to busy with work isn't it but not so good when it completely takes over.
Up, showered and dressed ready to go riding in my new riding breeches; sooo comfy! Thought I'd do one of my quick typing jobs before I go but before I start wanted to pop on here and get the list for later. I've emptied the DW and hung up the washing on the airer. Typical isn't it - as soon as DH rigs up a washing line for me the skies go all grey and it is cold but never mind!
Have a good day all xFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Big (((hugs))) to Dizzy.
Hope you get your money back today, atb.

If your OH has got a motorbike, he might already have some of this product.0 -
(((Hugs))) Dizzy.
Yesterday sounded horrible and exhausting Mumof2 - I hope today works out better for you.
Commiserations Ionafan, and - Wow! Valli! That really is quite something. Hugely well done.
Welcome Karenccs67. It sounds as though you've signed up to the American Flylady site, but we're a LOT more laid back here. There's a list each day on Page 1 of the thread that's enough to keep me on top of things without feeling I've got to finish it every day but the American one frightens me. As to sink bowls and drainers, I use a sink bowl because it cuts the amount of water I use by half and a drainer because life's too short to be spent drying up.Wops,
My cat has just arrived in with a cooked chcicken thigh in his mouth.

Carpet sucked the ground floor. I quite like this staying on top of things. Fortunately Kelpie was professionally flown yesterday so that should cut down on the amount of dog hair around the place. The groomer told me that while she was drying him there was so much fluff and hair around her she had to chew gum to get it all out of her teeth and mouth. Genius idea.
Waiting for the plumber but to be honest having done without hot water for more than three weeks I've sort of got used to it. Miss baths a bit though but that's not the end of the world.Better is good enough.0 -
Hugs to Dizzy

Good afternoon all. I posted last week with all my plans for the week, to do level 1 each day while decluttering a room.... I managed absolutely nothing! I was back at work and was walking the 2miles at least 1 way so was way too tired.
Decided I wasn't posting this week until I had at least completed something from the list and I have started today. 2 loads of washing done, 1 in dryer and 1 on line, another in the washing machine. Dishwasher loaded and turned on as will need to be ready for tea. Done level 1 so far from yesterdays list. Took 40 minutes to clear the sides and wipe (eek!) also filled a bag with rubbish and half another for the composting bin (yes there was really that much waste food just laying about!) Cant reach the window but doors open and music is on low as DH in bed. Just having a coffee and going to try level 2, kids can all help in the living room later.
Must try harder! Although I am keeping up with my debt diary so doing well there.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Drama here..
I love my purple new-to-me sofas.. BUT.. The chairs I swapped with my sister, I cannot sit on them because they are too high and hurt me. The 2 2-seater sofas are too big for this room so I feel claustraphobic and distressed. I also have a 3 seater sofa in my hallway so I can't get in or out of the house easily. I have that 3 seater to leave, 1 armchair to go, and I need a new chair for me which I can sit in.. I found one in Ikea but it is £165 which I simply don't have.. we have nothing coming in still.. we don't get JSA or anything else neither does DS2.. we aren't able to do food, bills and mortgage and have already burned through savings.. I need to pay for DD3's prom still.. her ticket and shoes and sort hair/nail appointments for her.. I have the remainder of the holiday to pay which I am dreading.. it was booked a year ago when I thought OH might actually be working by now so we could afford it.. We have never been on holiday together, this is the first holiday for 12 years and I am dreading it! I will then be able to be hysterical over christmas and affording that!
It is blooming freezing in here today .. I just bundled the baby in extra layers and Pixie too.. so they seem to be ok.. Twinkle was whinging so she may just have been cold given a jumper and trousers over her sleepsuit has shut her up! Pixie won't keep her nursery cardigan on so is wearing a christmas jumper over her dress and has a blanket
My old man cat is on his last life looking at him.. he has lost loads of weight in the last couple of weeks and I think this is the final time he will decline.. he is 18 so has done well.. it will be quite weird having just 3 cats.. none of whom are cuddly knee sitters... my stray will be a total pita once Cracker has gone, he is the only one keeping him in check right now.
So.. Cats, chairs, money and mess... my life is a shambles.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Still falling short on the Flying, I'm afraid; but spending the entire night coughing my lungs out didn't help.:(
I have done a WM load of my clothes though (note to self - Mr LW needs to put his stuff away out of the airing cupboard to make way for mine when I fetch it in off the line) and we've been to the F&V market and @ldi; so all stocked up with comestibles (now there's an interesting word for a Tuesday afternoon!)
We have all the makings of hot toddy now, too - honey from the farmers market, lemons from the F&V market, and whisky courtesy of @ldi.
Dizzy (((HUGS))) I don't know what the Universe has against you, but you really do seem to go through it, don't you, hun? I should think the canine bin raid just about put the tin hat on it for you!
Yes, I've had that too - two little Westies who stayed managed to have the entire contents of the kitchen bin all over the floor. I knew something was up - Mr LW went through to get me some early morning coffee, and he didn't say anything; normally when we have new-to-us guests, he reassures me that all is well with them, so his silence spoke volumes!
Ah, I see Mr LW has finally succeeded in completing his latest mission - he's playing "Conflict: Desert Storm" on the PS2. *rolls eyes* So now his next mission is to get off his bottom and put his stuff away.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Lovely ride this morning, done another typing job and picked up another 4 so not looking too promising that I'll be able to fly today. Plus got to take S to cricket this evening for a friendly match then as soon as I get back will be straight on with typing again. I did have good intentions, honest!
Pigpen you don't do hugs I know but one of my favourite sayings which has got me through a lot is 'this too shall pass'. It's carp to be going through but it won't be for ever. We're in a similar situation too and it's bad so thinking of you xFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0
