Must be the Country lass in me, but I don't mind using mouse traps one little bit! Wait till it catches one and leave the dead mouse sitting for a few days, the smell of the dead one drives them out!
Or, get a ferret! my mum and dad have two ferrets. One day one manages to wriggle down a hole in the kitchen wall (council house, council installed kitchen, hence holes) when it was in the house playing. A few days later ferret re-appears, fat as a porker, and no mice since!
Mice in fields, cute, mice in houses, vermin.
But you can also try an empty 2lt bottle of cola or what not, with the top off and a bit fruit and nut chocolate inside. It may fancy some chocolate and squeeze in but not be able to squeeze back out again.0 -
Ive got Shirleys bin idea all set up in the kitchen! Oh said it's got one chance tonight and then its the trap!! Thing is we are trying to do this without telling the kiddies we even have a mouse so don't know where we are going to put the bin and live mouse in morning if it works!! O my god - just had a thought - what if there are loads in the bin in the morning??? - I will be moving out!0

Hiya everyone
This evening I've been sat talking to my children whilst they were playing in the bath. Decided to clear out the airing cupboard whilst chatting to them. We're left with four towels in the airing cupboard and the rest all neatly on the shelving units in the bathroom. All the shelves are neat. It looks lovely. Put the children to bed and couldn't resist a bath because it looks so lovely. So, it's 9 0'clock and i'm all ready for an early night. Sometimes this flying is so worth it.
Lil_me - I'm getting so excited for your impending house move. I'll be counting down the days too soon. Hope you have a good nights sleep as you really have been doing loads.
Pigpen - hope the school was ok.
Torianut - hope you get the mouse!!!

evening all
not been around today and so not done any flying! had a bit of a day all in all...hassles at work which i've not found easy to deal with due to having so many things already that i'm stressed about! my free evening got swallowed up tring to sort things out but i think they mainly are now. thankfully i have one really great colleague who is very wise.
i'm going away to OHs tomorrow afternoon and have agreed with colleagues that i will stay until at least monday evening, hopefully tuesday if i can manage to do a swap on my tuesday assemblies.
on the positive side i had my wedding day make up trial today. liked it, though was not 100% sure about the lipstick, will get her to alter it slightly on the day. she was great and let me change bits and bobs. was very natural looking which is important to me as i don't usually wear make up. i ahve booked in for a facial on tuesday which should be cool. i also got her to do me an indian head massage which included my neck and shoulders and it was so good i booked a course of six which was a bargain £38. i think it should help me!
am watching myself at the moment as i know if i'm not careful the stress will get the better of me. am watching who do you think you are and am tempted to pour myself a large brandyMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Evening everyone,
I did all the work this morning before I checked the list, so I have a Level Three bathroom - but a Level Zero computer desk! Actually, that isn't entirely truthful, as OH did all the disk thingy and defrag yesterday. I'll whisk a duster over it tomorrow, really, I promise!
Off to the hospital this afternoon. I really didn't want to go, as it was a beautiful afternoon, and I'd have loved to just stay in the garden - but my sister and I have agreed that we are not going to beat ourselves up for not wanting to go, as my mother wouldn't either, given the choice... but of course, we still do go! I like being with mum, but just not the hospital and the circumstances.
Working tomorrow morning, so the kids can do their own bedrooms! Well, what else are weekends for? Tidying your bedroom, and doing your homework...;)It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
oh lil_me am counting down for you - my sister lives in a street like that and she is giving up her council house to move back home with my parents to save to rent private as she just can't stand it anymore - the music is blaring continuously and her neighbours are a little intimidating!
sounds like your new place will be great - i missed news of move as was thinking could do this on my own! but i am thinking of you
night all - think i need an early night to prepare for mass toy sort tomorrow  although i have to say am grateful for that as was wondering when would get to do it - its desperate - thanks pigpen :T althoug hwon't be thanking tomorrow when doing it i'm sure
