Just a quick one, got to take boys swimming in a mo, got most things done, need to finish the gloss work in sitting room tomorrow, underestimated just how much there was to do. LR and dining room so far look way better. DS1s bed arrived, we started putting it together then realised we got a few bits wrong :rotfl: so gave up and came home. Will also have that on tomorrows list.
Will try to read through when I get back, haven't had chance yet, hope you've all had a good dayOne day I might be more organised...........

I moped the living room floor!
The bathroom was cleaned the other day after DH finally removed excess grout (tiles were done back in... Feb) and put up a new light. I will S&S it before my shower.
PC... oh PC, I need to clear your desk of carp and junk, I need to print out letters and most of all, I need to back up all my files and wipe your butt clean baby!
Will do that while making dinner, well, waiting for dinner to cook.
I still have the cold, thats my excuse. Ad also its my tired week...0 -

Morning all!
Shirley - HELP!!! I saw a mouse run across my kitchen last night before I went to bed - what do I do?? I am annoyed as my kitchen has never been so clean!!!
Anyone know what to do? - I am sitting here with my legs up in case he comes back!
If you haven't packed your bags and moved house. The way that some people manage to catch mice and rats is
Get a large bin, like a dustbin / pedal bin type thing, it need to be tall so they can't jump out. Put this in the middle of the floor and then use books / bricks to build a little set of steps to the top. Put some nice smelly tasty food in the bin. The rat / mouse climbs up, falls in to get the food and then can't get out again. Then, and this is the important bit, take said mouse / rat atleast 2 miles from your house and release. If you don't take them that distance they will find their way back. If you have one mouse you often have more than one, so you may need to repeat until they are all caught.
Also check that anywhere they might be getting in is sealed up and that any spillages / food sources are removed, so put things that are in paper packets inside plastic containers so they can't eat them. If you remove their food source they will go elsewhere.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Right, finally, I've done the bathroom and sorted out the washing. Children just need to put theirs away.
DD2 and DS1 are sorting out some of DD2's stuff. So I'm hoping that'll make a difference to the bedroom tomorrow. I'll just go through the wardrobe and toybox. I can't imagine there will be anything to ebay, but if there is, I'll list it next week.
I've got to have some dinner, then I'll wash saucepans. After that, it's ebay the last half a dozen or so things that I've found.0 -
Have cleaned the bathroom, need to do the floor, but will do that tomorrow.
Have taken photos of all items to go on ebay. DH said he would help me with that when he gets in later as he has sold stuff before.
Put one load in the WM and need to hang that on the airer in a mo and then I'm done for today.
Went to TK Maxx today and bought 3 Christmas pressies which I am really pleased with. They've got some lovely snowman patterned china plates, mugs and bowls, very cute.
Our social worker is coming first thing tomorrow, hopefully with details of a couple of children for us to read through. :j
So I'll be doing my flying in the afternoon.
Have a good evening everyone....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Good evening, back from swimming, goodness barely stopped all day, starting to feel the last few manic days however, think I will be in bed earlyish tonight.
So pleased we're moving, more so as between 9pm last night and 3pm this afternoon someone has helped themselves to our hose and reel from the garden. Some people just can't leave anything alone, house we're moving into has had a fortune worth of stuff in unlocked sheds untouched since the lady moved out, just goes to show doesn't it, if you don't tie something down here they'll take it. More annoying than anything else, especially as the only way someone could enter the garden would be through the ar*ehole neighbours garden over the small fence between, coincidence it goes missing the day after they have an outside tap fitted!!!! Oh and then there is the motorbikes blasting around this evening, god knows how I am supposed to get the boys to bed with them making such a noise, roll on 17 days time!!
Listed 5 small items on Ebay, that'll do me for now I think, as long as DP doesn't want anything listing. Need to clean bathroom here which I will do when I put the boys to bed who are just finishing their suppers.
As for the postal strikes, no billsand an excuse if I pay them late, who an argue with that :rotfl: feel sorry for some of the workers who don't really want to strike as they're having to do it without pay of course.
Be back later with my tomorrow to do list once I find my diary and see what we have booked in etc......can't find it anywhere....
(tinselfairy fingers crossed for you all tomorrow)
One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks for that advice Shirley - have looked everywhere and not seen him or any signs since - OH brought some mouse traps home from work but we really don't want to use those - will definately try your bin idea tonight. Will update tomorrow.
Good luck tomorrow tinsel,
thanks for the list pigpen - hope the school is ok - we are choosing one for dd1 at the moment - it's harder than I thought!
Well done all you ebayers - I am jealous - wish I wasn't suspended!!
Have a good night all xx0 -
They have humane traps in B&Q for £5. My mum had a mouse last year came in each night. She put that down so she could take it back to the 'wild' and it did a runner before handJanuary Grocery 11/3740
