Ironing all done, just a little bit of sewing now but some cake and custard first I think.

Shell I have not been to Wickstead park for years - it is about 45 minutes north of us. Is it open all year? Also is it expensive?

It's my DS's birthday on 10th so I'm posting his cards tomorrow. I'd rather he got them a week early than not at all.....although last year he never got them, must have got pinched (no money in them though, I sent it by bank transfer!)

Pigpen thanks again for stepping in for me, I do appreciate it and I know the rest of the girls (and Flyboy when he appears) do oh and a Christmas cake would be lovely :D

BabyElephant welcome. I think most on here have tried the Flylady emails and didn't work for them, me included, hope this thread helps you

    Punky welcome home :)

Dizzy, never worry about not keeping up with the thread, we all have our own lives and priorities, good luck combining both, I also do morning/night time routines which I find very helpful

Shirley, I don't know how you're managing, all go at YOUR place isn't it :D

    BumpyBecky, turra21 welcome :D

Michelle that is a scary amount, hope you are feeling better

Jue hope the first full time week goes well for both of you

Becca well done with the smoke free

Kyle, 4 more sleeps, I am soooo jealous!! Have a great time.

Dusty well done on the ebay sales :) thanks for the info on postal strikes, this could really put a spanner in the works for a lot of things.

shell big hugs and sympathy to you, man flu is awful for them but always worse for us!

Descale you can buy products but I find vinegar works just as well. Half and half malt/white vinegar and water. Boil it up, leave it for a couple of hours then chuck the water away. You shouldn't find it taints the water at all, but you could always boil up a couple of kettlefuls and throw them away before you use the kettle for tea again!
Fridge anything really, stardrops (or other multipurpose stuff), disinfectant, milton all diluted should do the trick.

Hugs to those who need/want one. Welcome to Flylady members new and OLD :D

Well my list for Monday starts with hopefully resolving problems

Call estate agents, go down there if get no joy, I will get some answers, some how
Ring round van hire companies, try to get a cheaper price, so far best is £160 for weekend
Go to new house and wait for parcel, see if the landlady's mover person turns up & ask if any updates
Clean windows upstairs in new house while I am there
Clean doors in new house, yuk
Take more photos of new house, damage, muck etc included
Change address with some more companies
Usual daily mission of pack one box/bag and fling one
Kitchen list - think I might need to aim for level 1 or 2 tops
Get DP to ring O2 and shout at them
Arrange day for DS2 to go for visit to new school, preferably when we'll be over house waiting for a delivery of something
    Get DS1s bed ordered!
Write list of repairs which need doing ASAP inc the stupid door

 I think that is about all.
One day I might be more organised...........

Dusty - Wicksteed was fab! It was their last weekend opening for the rides as it is now classed as their autumn season and says on the brochure to phone for opening details. As for price it was £10 per adult and £15 for the kids, but they take tesco vouchers so made for a great day. Another bonus was we could take the dog (just not allowed in the free playground area). Poor thing was worn out and is still zonked today - lol!

We didnt have to queue for any rides and littles went on the kiddies roller coaster (with an adult) 30 times - thats not lie!! MIL, DIL, NIL and SIL came with us too.
  • :wave:Evening everyone (morning Denise)

Thanks for the list Pigpen........ I'll say I'm in! but I'm sure I'll be lagging behind by Wednesday. I have 2 hours in the morning, every day this week, to do everything including the dailies so I guess I'll see how I get on. As long as I manage to sort dinner before leaving the house there won't be a riot before I get in at 7.30pm or possibly 8pm or whenever I get done at work.

How about an optional if you want to be on the list email pigpen :) you could set up a seperate hotmail addy if needs be, I know some people 'don't do cards' my Dad doesn't and I know many others who don't, some don't celebrate Christmas aswell of course, for some buying cards of course is not a priority financially (especially when stamps are needed), of course there are ecards for those who prefer to do it electronically. I wouldn't like to think anyone felt under pressure in any way to do something beyond their means.

  • Hi everyone, I have been reading this thread for so long I feel that I have started to get to know you. So now, if you will have me, I would like to join and 'fly' properly. The house is already better, but I must do more!!! Plus you all seem to be such a productive group, with all your children and pregnancies, I hope that your good fortune will rub off on DH and myself in our quest for our 2nd child - we have just failed at IVF  and are feeling pretty mis, although we have DS1 we would love more!! So I will throw myself into the house )and try and find some carpets and floor!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
